When I turn my snap lab on it comes up then immediately go to an error message to reboot and if the error message still comes up the printer may be damaged. I have had the printer 2 years but don't use it a lot. Not sure why all of a sudden it stopped working.
Let me know what happened cuz I am having the same problem.
It could be that someone has tried to update the firmware and has
interrupted the process before it had finished. If this has not been the
case you could try updating the firmware go to Sony's website or do a search on the internet for Snaplab firmware update and you will see Sony's information. Download the firmware relervant to your machine going by its serial number on the back .Save this to your hardrive then
connect your printer and follow their instructions but do not switch it of halfway through as this can ruin the machine permanantly.
It could be a damaged ribbon sensor although fairly cheap to buy if you
can get one is a big job to fit. We have had faulty ribbons that have caused a similar problem so try a different batch of ribbon.
