The indicator turns red when charging and turns green when fully charged. The headset will flash in purple when it is in discovery mode (mode where it is looking for a device to be paired with it). If it has already been paired with a device it is blue and then flashes blue when it is paired. The link for the manual is below. http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/manuals/QG-H700_9499A88O.pdf

I've been using my Motorola H700 with my LG phone for over 1 year with no problems. Now it will no longer connect, I've charged it till the light is bright green but my phone is not able to connect to it....

You should remove this item from the phone and reconnect / pair it again. In the manual for the headset you have information on how to reconnect the headset to the phone and the phone have to be in "discover" mode for bluetooth

H700 will pair, but won't connect.

To successfully pair the Motorola 700 with the Centro:
Select Bluetooth from the Home screen.
Select "On".
Under "Visibility", select "Visible".
Now click "Setup Devices".
Click "Hands-free Setup"
On the Motorola earpiece, with the flip-out mouthpiece in the closed position, press and hold the multi button until ring around it glows purple. Flip open the mouthpiece.
Now click "Next" on the Centro's screen.
The Centro should find the Motorola. Hold the Motorola to the right side of the phone if you have difficulty getting the Centro to find it.
Once found, click the Motorola H700 listed in the window and click "OK".
The Centro will ask for the device password. Enter 0000. Be sure that the checkbox for "Add to trusted device list" is checked. Click OK.
The two devices should now be paired to work together and the Motorola's multi button should rapidly blink blue; NOW click "Done".
You will be taken to the Trusted Devices screen.
You will see your Motorola in the list of Trusted Devices. Click on it to highlight it, if it is not already highlighted.
Click the menu drop-down key (located to the right of the ALT key).
You will now see a drop-down at the top of the screen that says "Connect". Click the "palm" center button on your Centro.
NOW the two devices are connected. The phone name will now be bold, and a small Bluetooth icon will appear to the right of it.
When you click the Phone key on your Centro, you will see a tiny blue headphone symbol now at the top right of the screen where the Bluetooth icon used to be.

To use the earpiece:
Flip it open and hang it on your ear.
Dial the number you want to call on the phone.
Press the multi button once and now you should be connected via the earpiece.
To receive a call, when your Centro rings, press the multi button once.

It took me a few hours to figure it out. Hopefully you can do it in a few seconds.

First, turn on your bluetooth on your phone.
Flip the boom mic on your H700 and hold down the call button for 5 seconds.
The indicator light should be purple. That means it is in pairing mode.
Then using your phone, attempt to connect to your H700.
It'll ask for a passkey. The default passkey is 0000.

How to do pairing

Thank you. I called a 1-800 number for tech support but they told me I had to wait 14 days from the date of purchase before they could help me. Your suggestion was right on the money. Thank you.

Motorola H700 Problems with BB Pearl 8100

Steps to pair a H700 headset with any bleutooth pone:

  1. Make sure the H700 fully chared (very important)!!
  2. Make sure the microphone boom is folded closed, i.e. power is off!
  3. Hold the call button for 1-5 seconds until the light is steady lit purple
  4. Flip out the microphone boom, the light should stay lit purple!

Now you are ready to pair the headset with your phone, so follow the pairing instructions of your phone.

Note: When prompted for the Passkey; it is most likely 0000 but the correct Passkey should be on the headset accessory instructions.

I must add that indeed my headset on occation (once or twice every three months) also loses its connection with the blackberry (a 8703e) . At which time I have to remove the headset from my phone bluetooth device list, and start the above described steps to pair my headset with the phone again.

My phone can't connect to the headset!!!

I don't know if it is the same case as mine, but my H700 does not connect or work at all after a few days of non use. Battery discharges completely. It is odd but if I connect it to charger - it is lit red and starts charging again... So try to charge your H700 fully, then after a few days try to connect (knowing you gave it a full charge a few days ago)and see if will work. If not - connect to a charger. If light goes red - you got a battery problem just as me. Hope it helps at least a little bit.

Trouble connecting h700 to phone

First: When charging the light should be steady. If the battery is less than 20% charged it should be red. More than 20% it will be yellow. Fully charged it should be green. Make sure your microphone is closed when charging.

Second: Have you "Paired" the H700 and the phone? If not you need to. To put the H700 into "Pairing Mode" do this:

Make sure the H700s microphone are is in the off position. Push in and hold the button on the H700 until the light lights up purple. Release the button and quickly open the microphone button. The light will stay purple and you are now in "Pairing Mode". Now follow the instructions for your phone to pair with a BlueTooth unit. When it asks for a code, use 0000 (that is 4 zeros).

Your phone and H700 should now be connected.

Hope this helps a bunch!!!
