Actually no just need to HANDLE WITH CARE and make sure you protect the screen,you can cut a piece of cardboard same size of you screen to protected from any object,you TV has mirrors inside just be careful,other then that you will be OK.

It sounds like your regulator circuit is defective. Not an expensive repair, maybe $200.or a little more.

I can't disconnect the parent v chip now it is automatically blocking stations

On my Mitsubishi WD65-613 it was 4 capacitors on the DM board. They are 1000mf 16v, replaced with 4 1000mf 25v. TV is working great.
