Excuse me! I directed you right to the Tasco manuals and you give me two thumbs up? Why did you do that for a perfect answer?

Vivitar 76700

Do not know where you live but humidity will fog the eyepiece. Put the scope out with the covers on for at least one hour to reach thermal equilibrium. Use the lowest power (highest number) eyepiece first.

Cant get an image. Is it right that the view finderimage is upside down

The image of all astronomical telescopes are upside down (SCTs are upside down and reversed). RACI (right angled, correct image) finders do produce a right-side up image. For daytime use a erect image prism eyepiece.
Follow below instructions (except 7 in your case)

  1. Get Stellarium or another fine astronomy program
  2. During the day, point the telescope at a part of the landscape about 100 yards away.
  3. Use the lowest power eyepiece (highest number) in the focal tube.
  4. Center the landscape object in the telescope.
  5. Align the finder scope so that it points exactly where the main telescope is.
  6. At night, leave the scope out to reach thermal equilibrium (about an hour for small reflectors and refractors)
  7. If the scope is on a EQ mount, polar align.
  8. Point the finder at the moon. The moon should be in the main scope also.
  9. Practice finding the moon before you start on the planets
  10. Once you are comfortable with the moon and planets, you can go for the deep sky objects

I bought a Bushnell 78-4501 reflector telescope and the images are upside down. How can I fix this?

Astronomical telescopes usually show an upside down image. There is a good reason for this- erecting the image needs more bits of glass in the light path, which reduces the amount of light and increases aberrations. Even if this is only slight, astronomers prefer to avoid it, and they don't really care which way up the Moon or Jupiter appear.

It is possible to fit an erecting prism or eyepiece to most astronomical telescopes, and some of them come with one. For a reflector, an erecting diagonal of the kind that is often used on a refractor is of no use. There are other types of erecting adaptors or eyepieces. However, unless you wish to use the telescope for terrestrial viewing, for which a reflector is badly suited anyway, you might as well fall in with the tradition that astronomical observations are made upside down.

My name is Raul my reflector telescope edu science brand images are focused Upside when any target in the horizon and would like to see how to fix it right and I would like to send me a manual.

All astronomical telescopes show upside down images. It's completely normal. For terrestrial viewing you will need to buy an "erecting prism" like these:

http://www.astronomics.com/main/Image_Erecting_Prisms.asp/catalog_name/Astronomics/category_name/EDNECFUVSRWS8KLNTU5E38XSE1/Page/1

Edu Scientific telescopes do not have manuals. They are being sold by Toys R Us, and are really not intended for actual astronomical use. We receive more complaints on this brand than all others. Craigslist.com has many of these types of scopes for sale because after buying them the people find out they are almost unusable.

Where can I get a users manual from thanks bern

There are several telescopes all named Explorer with that model number.

What is the full brand name of your telescope?

This may help you. If your scope has MIRRORS look under REFLECTOR on the below Meade web site of manuals for one similar to your telescope. They all assemble in the same way.

If your scope has a LENS in the front look under REFRACTOR.
