Toyota Corolla 1997 I've installed kickers in the rear (KS series to match the front)... had those going for a couple of weeks with no problems. Yesterday i went to install the KS400 series in the front. The first speaker i installed played strong for 10 min or so then suddenly cut-off and hasn't played since. The other door speaker won't play either and neither will the rear speakers. I've reset my aftermarket head unit multiple times but no luck. It's good for 4x50... are the 60w front speakers a problem? I'm stumped. the headunit still has power and the fuse isn't blown.

Take one of the front speakers out and pull out the head unit and unplug a set of audio wires(front right, front left ect.) and hook it up directly from the radio to the speaker there for bypassing all the cars wires. If it works then there's a problem with the car's wiring(maybe an inline amp). If it doesn't work, then try a known good speaker from somewhere else(home stereo speaker for example) and connect it to the radio, if the speaker works, your radio is fine and there may be a problem with the speakers. If it doesn't work then you have a problem with the head unit.

Toyota caldina 1998 GT

must put chains (if you really need them) on all 4 wheels of your all wheel drive car to prevent a speed mis-match between front and rear...a mis-match can destroy the gearboxes over prolonged use. use chains that have many cross links to lessen the effect of any speed mis-match
