Wont turn on but light is blinking

You may have a defunct camera battery. They all fail eventually. Try another one if you have access to one.

actually if you are a person who likes DIY, you can buy one lcd screen and then fix it by yourself.

It's clearly faulty, there's nothing you can do to fix it.

Just return it to the retailer for refund or exchange or send it back to the manufacturer for a free warranty repair. Note that all bets are off if the camera has been exposed to moisture, shows impact damage or signs of any unauthorised repairs.

Make sure the battery contacts, both inside the camera and on the battery, is clean. You can clean them with a qtip and alcohol. Also, check the battery voltage, it could be getting old. Here is a good blog of things to check with this problem:

Sounds like a bad battery, when the battery gets old, it turns the camera off....

Take out the media card, then do a factory reset.

Will the camera lens come out when the camera is turned on?

Can you still take a photo/flash/sound without seeing the photo?

Chances are the LCD screen has failed and would have to be replaced. (ive seen this screen problem when it goes to white or when cracked)

you basically would have 3 options,

1: send it out for repairs to Nikon? ( may cost close to what you paid)
2: Buy a used or new LCD on an auction site (if your gadget savvy and you can replace yourself or have someone do it for you) avg price $50-75?
3: sell your camera on an auction site to use funds to purchase another camera.

Hi , try to flash in dark area and set camera flash on set in all option.if does not fire the flash the flash bulb are busted either the the igniter switch inside was broken.

Try these procedures.

Get another battery - it is possible the replace is stale/old/dud. Check the cleanliness of the contacts on battery and the camera, a light polish with tissue- sometimes if the camera has not been used for a with a slight patina of dirt/corrosion will build up to prevent contact.
