The photo slide show is now blank The photo show is now blank. I have a GE model 27956 DECT6.0 Cordless Handset with Caller ID & Slide Show. I can not view or add new photos to the slideshow. I pushed the reset button, but it didn't work. I disconnected the power and phone cord and connected again but no results. The screen is brightly lighted and blank. Can this be fixed? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is built in, but anyone ex directory wont show up, or mobiles that withhold their number, or anyone that withholds their number, & some phones only show caller id if its in your memory.

you just push in the button and then slide the back of the phone upwards. but you have to give it a good push to slide it up

To fix this issue:

1. Unplug the Unit
2. Unplug the Phone Cord
3. Disconnect the Battery from the Handset
4. Wait 10-15 minutes… and put back together in Reverse Order
5. Connect the Handset Battery
6. Plug-in the Phone Cord
7. Plug-in the Unit

You can do this w/o the phone cord attached.

yes if its fading out .its possible that the battery is causing this.also other possibility is that the internal cicuit of the device is moistened or may be needs to be resoldered as some connections may be loosened up too. its a common problem and will get fixed once above things are checked 1 by 1. thanks.

If it did work before and it is not working now, then you should ask your telephone company about it.

I followed these steps that were listed, but it didn't work. Then I increased the time in step to an hour, and it worked

I called GE support. I was told
1. unplug power from base
2. unplug phone connection from base
3. remove cover and battery from handset
4. wait 10 minutes
5. put battery back, reattach phone connection and power

It solved the problem.

you need to reset the global settings in menu handset setup

I contacted GE today and they told me how to get the caller ID to work on the additional handsets. You must follow these steps in the exact order given.

#1 - unplug the base phone
#2 - unplug the telephone line from the base phone
#3 - remove the battery packs from the phones
#4 - wait 10 minutes.

reverse the order when assembling. Put battery packs in phones, put the telephone line back in the base phone and lastly plug all phones back in. It takes about another 10 minutes after that before all phones start recognizing caller ID but it now works fine.
