I have just purchased 3 new Philips MR16 10w LED lamps to try in existing 12v 50w fittings - each with its own electronic dimmable 6o v/a elec t/x. As soon as the lights are switched on with the new lamps RF noise appears on all FM radios in the house even with somw RF noise on MW - No dimmer is on the circuit - if the 12v 50w lamps are put back in there is no problem...

The LED light bulbs operate at 3 to 5 V usually. The noise your hearing is a result of the voltage reduction within the internal workings of the lamp base. The lamps should be installed with an
LED driver vs a transformer power supply.

This is usually on most packaging:

LED MR16 lamps operate in the same fittings as regular 12V lamps. However, they work best when they are mated with an led driver in place of the transformer.
Example of an LED driver:

The noise will not go away unless you use an LED driver with the MR16 lamps.

LED Driver for Allen + Roth 20268-000 Valleymede

Here (main three links) possibly, but spares are not listed anywhere, and their main business appears to be Gazebos! My first thought was return it under warranty as LED units are supposed to have a life of 7 to 10 years.

Leviton 6842 dimmer compatible with GE J6 bulb?

If it is the falling edge type of dimmer and the lamps you wish to use are dimmable, yes.
Otherwise no.

Will a dimmable LED 50-100-150W equivalent bulb work in my touch-lamp which currently uses a 50-100-150W incandescent bulb? Do they make them? A non-dimmable LED 3-way didn't work at all.

Your lamp is a three level dimmer as opposed to a 3 position switch.

The 3 level dimmer chops the voltage where as the 3 position switch powers 2 separate filaments (50, 100) inside the bulb either separately or all at once.

The 3-way bulb should not be necessary for an electronic 3 level dimmer. Any incandescent, or dimmable CFL or dimmable LED bulb should work.

Directions for quick snap socket without shorting house

Although a limited number of tri-filament led lamps are available it makes little sense to use them when dimmable led lamps are more generally available and cheaper and available in warm white, daylight or cool white.

These days smart bulbs are getting cheaper and more popular - bulbs such as the Phillips Hue series that can be controlled from a phone or tablet.

This hardly makes it worth fitting old fashioned sockets. Even if you have a stock of the old filament bulbs it is no longer socially acceptable to use them.

My led lights start to strobe when I turn on exterior light that is fed from the same line circuit. Solution?

There are two things coming into play here; the lamps and the dimmer(s).

First; LED and CFL type lamps that are to be used on a dimmer switch - must be identified for that use. Looks for the word dimmable on the packaging or bulb itself. These lamps are generally a little more expensive than their non-dimmable counterparts. If it does not indicate it is dimmable, then it isn't - and should not be installed on a circuit controlled by a dimmer switch.

Second; a dimmer switch that will be used to control LED and CFL bulbs (that are identified for use with a dimmer) must also be identified for use with dimmable LED and CFL bulbs. Again, these dimmer switches will be identified for this use and will cost more than those that work with standard filament type bulbs.

Lutron has dimmers for your circuit called a "C•L™ Dimmer" and supports Incandescent / Halogen, Dimmable Compact Fluorescent (CFL) and Dimmable Light Emitting Diodes (LED) type lamps. have a look here:
Lutron Maestro Dimmer and Switch Models

Also, be wary of the total load (wattage) of the lamps being controlled. If you have multiple dimmers in the same box, derating of the switch's wattage capacity (due to increased heat) will be required.

Bought LED 8w(50W) bulb for range hood, bulbs work fine when turned on to regular mode but don't work on the second setting that supposed to make them a little dimmer. Do I need dimmable bulb or is this...

not a bulb problem, the computer board is what makes the light dim. for the price of replacing the main board i would just let it work the way it is. if the light fails completely, then think about a new board, but its not really a thing that is needed.

If the legrand dimmer 400w - pro21 can function with led dimmable light "philips master led spot "

The answer is NO. You need a Trailing Edge dimmer to control LEDs.

The Phillips master LED spot manual says
:
Lighting controls: bulbs are dimmable 20-100% with ""select"" Trailing Edge RC devices
http://www.prismaecat.lighting.philips.com/FredhopperPDFWebServiceInter/docts/1d8ea75f-e889-424d-92dc-450fbeb85f6a/Smart_LED_Spot_da.pdf

The Legrand pro21 manual does not say anything about being a Trailing edge dimmer.
http://www.legrand.com.gr/gr/gr/liblocal/internet_greece/PDFS/NOTICES/IOBL/ROOSTATES/775637EN.pdf

Legrand diagrams show what appears to be incandescent bulbs, and say nothing about LEDs

LEDs cannot be dimmed as ordinary incandescent (tungsten) bulb.
