If you want to make photo slideshows, you should prepare the following things:

  1. Source photo slideshows (or photos with which you could create a photo slideshow before burning to DVD) on computer;
  2. Computer with DVD disc recorder drive (in case you want to burn slides to DVD disc directly);
  3. Blank writable DVD disc;
  4. DVD photo slideshow maker software to convert and burn photo slides to DVD and burn photos to DVD;
You can try DVD Photo Slideshow Maker.

Hi there,

If you have Nero Express, try using that, as it should prepare the data for you. Also it maybe that you don't have the correct "codecs" installed. There are some Nero updates you can download from Sony:

Hope these solve your problem.

Regards,
Tim

Slideshow

Well i think its software rather than hardware, What program are your using and are your songs mp3, or wma. or wav.

Here is what i suggest
1.) download nero from here http://www.phazeddl.com/ just search nero

2.) install it and folly the instructions to get it activated
3.) Use nero vision express
start / all programs / nero / photo and video / nero vision
4.)create a slive show dvd
5.) drag across your photos
6.) drag across your audio
7.) right click on the time line and set your transitions and time etc. basically set it up how you would like it to look
8.) burn it ( nero vision doest that for you automatically)

its user friendly and self explationary and very very very easy to use and is gurantied to work
NB. for better compatibality convert mp3 files to wav file.
to do this open it in nero wave editor and save it as a wav file

:) cheers

How can i make a movie using nero vision express 2se

To make a movie using Ahead Software Nero Express 6.0 follow this steps.
1. Click Nero
2. Choose Photos and Video's
3. Then click make Video CD.
4. After that select "Add Video Files"
5. Then Make sure that you set the burning speed in to 16x or lower because if it is in high speed there will be a tendency that your CD Player may not read your burned CD

Cannot get it onto DVD

Yes, use DVD+R. Make sure that you choose the correct options: After clicking on "Produce" and then "Burn to disc", take a look at the window that appears. One of the choices: you can either burn to hard drive or to the writer drive. Chose your writer drive and continue. Also, SlideShow Expressions can develop problems when a project is too big or when the photos are too large. What typically happens, is that the burning process stops at step 5 (the actual burning) and does'nt want to continue. If this is the case, experiment with photo size. I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager to resize photos. Resizing doesn't necessarily reduce the quality of the photos. There is really no visual difference between my original photos and those that feature in my slideshows. In my case I had to resize to under 500 KB, but then, my project was extremely large: 466 photos; maybe you don't have to go so low. Experiment with sizes. Don't give up; it's a really great product.

Dell 3000

Hey there 44mag, the solution may be that you need to use a different program to burn pictures. If you are using Nero, open up Nero Startsmart, and choose Nero Express, or Nero vision. The menu should appear giving you options as to which type of file you will be burning. On the left side, choose video/ pictures. Then on the right side choose the option which best suits your need. Read the description carefully and choose accordingly. Simply follow instructions and tips provided along the way. In Nero Vision, you can create your own slideshow on a DVD. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
