Is red light on for overload or for battery?
If on overload, try reducing the load on the UPS. If red light on overload persists buy a new UPS (overload fault hard to repair).

Red light on battery - replace the batteries.

Red light on boost or buck, may mean that the nominal voltage of ups and the limits need to be changed/corrected.

I am trying to charge my phone right now but it is just a constant red light where it would usually be orange and it is saying 0% charged
did you run the battery completely flat?

my phone if it has gone dead, when plugged in to charge, has a red LED for about 5 minutes where you cannot even turn it on it is that dead. after those minutes pass the phone can then be turned on, and the LED changes color to orange to indicate it is charging and is also powered on.

not to worry this is a fixable problem..............take te phone to a mobile shop and have them reflash the firmware n custom pack back into the phone and this will correct the problem....the erom needs to be loaded back on the phone.

When it is red light of death, it either means the bootloader of the phone is faulty (after uploading dodgy firmware updates), or the battery is too empty to start-up, let alone display charging progress. In your case you need to leave the phone charging even with the red light flashing and it will be fine. Give it a few hours connected to the charger.
