Hi,
you will find ebay the best place to find card accessories for this machine. i have found heaps of cards for the 9000, including the 102. look for numbers with 3 digits for the 9000, 2 digits are for the older 8000, though they will work for the 9000 they are smaller and simpler designs.
ENHMC is another card label that works in our machines, made by amazing designs as after market cards. There are scanners and things second hand but they are a bit difficult. i find i get heaps of designs that you just pop in the machine.

Definitely go to ebay. There are some online stores that sell the cards for about $100. You can find them for $9 to 15 on ebay. They a often used, but what a price difference

you should have no problem buying on ebay from NZ; I know Trademe is huge there.

Start looking on www.ebay.com.au, which is the Australian site and just check the postage details from the vendors to see if they will ship overseas.

There is a card on there right now, here is linkhttp://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Janome-memory...

You can also message a vendor to ask; they may not list international post but could be willing to ship from Australia to NZ just adding on the additional postage cost. You could also try USA www.ebay.com but freight charges may be higher of course.

You will need to have a Paypal account to shop there; its not difficult to set up an account and very secure. You provide a bank account details as well as a credit card number and Paypal will send a small sum to your account with a code number which you'll need to provide back to them to verify your account. Then when you shop you can choose between your own a/c or credit card and Paypal takes the funds from you and pays them to the vendor. I've never had any problems and made over 40 purchases now on Ebay.

I would suggest that you give Janome NZ a call and ask them directly, details are below.

I find that asking the national distributor means your getting the information from the importer rather than a local dealer.

Does the husqvarna scandavania viking 300 have internal embroidery stitches, like letters/alphabet, and numbers? Or do I have to find a cartridge/embroidery card that has them in order to do embroidery? I...

No, the Scandavania 300 doesn't have embroidery stitches built in. Embroidery patterns come on a memory card; the card reader is on the side of the machine above the power switch. The machine originally came with a card with 25 "sampler" patterns. There are only 20 pre-programmed stitches, including a blanket stitch/hand-look applique stitch. See page 32 the manual, http://manuals.husqvarnaviking.com/VSM/Husqvarna%20Viking/HVManual.nsf/5bc6115484660075c12575d2003f80e3/51860492a45a0af1852575ed00729c00/$FILE/Scandinavia300_manual_EN.pdf , for the list of included stitches. See page 20 for setting up for embroidery.

If you don't have that memory card, some may be available on E-bay. However, you'll need to check that the card is compatible with the Scandavania 300. Most of the cards I've seen on E-bay are programmable ones that require a separate reader/writer that connects to your computer. Many of the writers are not supported for newer versions of the Windows OS; the drivers weren't updated.

I hope this helps.

I have just purchased an old Janome Memory Craft 10001 embroidery machine and need the drivers in order to be able to connect it to my pc via usb cable.

You can go the the Janome web site to find drivers for your computer. When you save designs to the memory card you must save them in a folder (emb, i think}.Put a blank card in the machine while the machine is off anf=d then turn the machine on,,,It will make the folder for you.

Good Luck

I have a #1 machine

If you purchase a reader/writer unit with a rewritable memory card in the format for your machine, you will not need additional cards.

Copy the designs from the CDs to the hard drive or insert the CD as you need to access a certain design and then copy the selected designs to the memory card.

The card can only store a certain number of designs and then you reload when you want a different design.

You can get this unit from a sewing machine dealer, but they are less expensive on-line.

Always check with the vendor before purchasing to be sure the unit will work with your brand/model and machine embroidery format.

Format pc card on janome memory craft 300 e

# Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
# 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
# 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
# 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
# 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
# 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

The memory card cannot be over 128 mb. Also the files need to be .jef format and stored in an emb folder on the card. I hope this helps.

Husqvarna 1+ programmable card

To the second poster with the malfunctioning "card" - do you mean the insert panel/card (overlay) with "E" on it? If so then there is no programmable feature to it. The overlay has notches in the left edge that presses a pattern of leaf switches on the left behind the case and it uses internal designs in memory. If on the other hand you mean that little memory card that you can use with the reader/writer and goes with the "0" (zero) card/overlay then you can get them from a Husq-Viking dealer, or keep an eye on used ones on ebay.

Most dealers sell the "programmable" as a "0" (zero) card set where you get the zero cassette/panel/overlay and the little programmable embroidery card as a set. Most reader-writer sets, either the older parallel port type or the newer 3D/4D USB one will come with one many times. You need to check the dealers and see what they have to offer. The programmable embroidery card is still rather pricey. I'm looking into whether there is some generic type memory card that might work too but have yet to find one and may not since the HV programmable card is likely proprietary since it goes back to the early 90's.
