Power light indicators on flashing red as warning that battery is almost depleted of functionality. ascertain that devices with extension cables deriving power from elsewhere are plugged in to reattain power to acheive regular functionality. For example, devices with red light indication as power warning would also flash yellow or green when in full power charge from another source. refer with devices user guide or manual for refering, diagnostics.

Both of my cordless phones keep beeping when in use. I thought they may need new batteries but I can't find where the batteries go.

Yes beeping means the rechargeable battery is worn out, or the power to the base unit is not charging and the handset is running out of charge.

The battery compartment is accessed in the bottom rear of the phone handset.

How To Reset and Re-Register Your Uniden Handset and Base

<b>Clear the Handset's Base Data<br /></b>1.To remove the base data from a handset when out of range of the base, press and hold the 'end' button and the '#' button simultaneously until the phone beeps.<br />2.It will now be de-registered from the base.<br />Note: This requires that the base and handset can communicate with each other.<br /> <br /> <b>Clear the Base Handset Data</b><br />1.To de-register all handsets from the base, remove power to the base, and remove the handset from the base.<br />2.Press and hold the 'flash/find hs' button while applying power.<br />3.Wait for the beep and release the button.<br />4.The charge light will now flash.<br />5.Sit any handset in the cradle.<br />6.When the flashing stops, re-register the handsets to the base.<br /> <br /> <b>Re-Register a Handset to the Base<br /></b>1. Manual for Panasonic Handset KX-TGA560B

For the KX-TG5672, you should press and hold the Intercom button until the charge indicator flashes. Then press the button to assign the handset # 1, 2 or 3 (keypad 1, 2 or 3). Then press OK on the handset and wait for the handset to beep. These steps must be done within a minute from when the charge indicator flashes. It's best to have the base and the handset close together when you register the handset.

If you still have a problem, try removing the battery from the handset and disconnecting the power cord from the base (from the wall and the base itself). Wait a few minutes and then reconnect the power cord and the battery for the handset. (Make sure that the base has power and the adapter is warm.) Then try registering again.

I am trying to register my panasonic kx tga641es to the base. I have no instructions/user manual...can anyone help please???

I have similar model and setup should be the same..
1, Handset: press Menu
2, Handset: scroll using up/down arrow keys to "Initial setting" then press soft key Select
3, Handset: scroll to "Registration" press soft key Select
4, Handset: sroll to " HS Registration" press soft key Select
5, Base Unit: Press and hold (LOCATOR/INTERCOM/TRANSFER) for 3 seconds. The Charge indicator flashes. After the CHARGE indicator starts flashing, the rest of the procedure must be completed within 1 minute.
6, Handset: 1: press soft key OK
2: wait untill a long beep sounds and the display shows the new extention number
**Registration should be complete**

What does "check AC" mean

AC stands for alernating current usually recognisable with the devices power cables. Check with the devices power cables if not broken would require ascertainments that has been connected to the power outlets.

First follow procedure to try to reset the power.
  1. Unplug the ac adapter. Keep ac adapter unplugged.
  2. Remove the battery and keep the battery unplugged.
  3. Hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds. (Nothing will appear on the display and none of the lights will light up.)
  4. Release the power button and plug in the ac adapter ONLY. (Please note that a power indicator light should be lit on the ac adapter when it is plugged in).
  5. Normally power on the notebook.
  6. If the unit does not power on, remove the ac adapter and insert the battery into the system.
  7. Plug the ac adapter back into the system, the battery charging indicator light will light up.
    If the battery charging indicator light does not light up, the ac adapter may not be providing proper power to the unit, and may need to be replaced.

Uniden Cordless Phone Model DSS7855. frequently fails to connect to an incoming call, with 'out of range' indication. The phone is less than 1 meter from the base station.

The handset/base keeps a record of who it’s registered to. The base also keeps a record of how many handsets are registered to it.

Using the de-register function on the handset deletes the handset from the base (decrements the count) and deletes the base info from the handset. All this requires that the base and handset can communicate with each other.

To remove the base data from a handset when out of range of the base, press and hold the ‘end’ button and the ‘#’ button simultaneously until the phone beeps. It will now be de-registered from the base.

However, the base will still have this handset in it’s record.

To de-register all handsets from the base, remove power and the base handset. Press and hold the ‘flash/find hs’ button while applying power. Wait for the beep and release the button. The charge light will now flash. Sit any handset in the cradle. When the flashing stops, all handsets are inhibited from connecting.

However, the handset still appears to be connected to the base unit. Pressing talk will give an ‘Unable to connect’ message. To re-register the handsets to the base, you have to de-register the handset first with the two button method.

Of interest, pressing ‘*’ and ‘#’ on the handset while reconnecting the battery is suppose to reset the handset. Doing the same on the base unit puts you in some sort of diagnostic mode. Press speaker to exit.

VT2461 ADDITIONAL HANDSET PROBLEM

I can vouch for the second solution. It worked perfectly on my 2461 with two extensions. Even the vTech website was not able to provide a solution.

Handset has No link to base

I was having the same problem with the same model phone, and fixed the problem by rebooting the phone – unplugging the AC and phone cord from the base station and plugging both back it, then removing and replacing the handset to regenerate the security code.
