Anyone has any issues keeping a connection up using "Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6205" and Cisco Autonomous (FAT) APs? I am running Windows 7 Professional on a 64-bit Laptop. Symptom: - The wireless adapter connects to the wireless network - After several minutes (2-3), it drops the connection. - If you leave the connection alone, it will come back after several (5-10) minutes. Or you can reset the connection and it will come back up, but it will eventually drop again. - Wireless Signal is Excellent and the issue is NOT coverage issue - Other laptops with different Wireless adapters do NOT have any connectivity issues. - Made sure that I am running the latest BIOS, drivers, etc. from DELL - Tried using the Intel Wireless Utility instead of the Microsoft Windows Wireless tool, but it does not make any difference

SOURCE: cannot stay connected to internet with wireless dell laptop for more than a minute

This will either be a driver glitch or a problem with the router or your internet provider. Start by uninstalling the wireless drivers from the device manager, then reboot. The machine will find the wireless and reinstall the drivers automatically. If this doesn't fix it, then you might want to call your internet provider and have them check out your router and connection.

Wifi card Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 not fitting in designated PCI slot on new motherboard.

Make sure that the opening in the case is properly aligned with the PC slot of the notebook. If it is not - disassemble and correct - assuming a PC (the old "PCMCIA") card is what you're trying to insert.

If you're talking about a connector on the mainboard that supports a built in Wifi PCB connector cable or an expansion slot on a desktop PC, please indicate exactly what you have.

Fix wifi association problem

(a) Ensure the Wireless Device Switch is On. Just throwing that out there. Your WiFi adapter is noting down some kind of signal strength as well, yes?
(b) Try uninstalling the WiFi Adapter (Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 (802.11abgn 2x2), or, Atheros XSPAN HB116 802.11abgn) in Device Manager, then rebooting and let Windows reinstall the device.
(c) Try updating the drivers from here.
http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Portal/support.do?srch=DOWNLOADS There are Windows 8.1 x86 and x64 driver packages there.
(d) If the device is working fine (according to Windows) but is still not receiving or sending, then it may be some antenna problem, and you'll have to contact Fujitsu Support for repair. Make sure you've registered your new tablet with Fujitsu.
Post back with how this goes.

Can't connect to Thomson TG 712 router Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205

Reset the router to factory. Also, be sure there are no IP address conflicts on your network. It might be that one of your routers already is using an address. DO you have multiple routers on your network?

IBM ThinkPad R40 Intel Centrino Upgrade to Intel Core 2 Duo?

According to system specs your system is not compatible with the Core 2 Duo or Centrino Core 2 Duo. To upgrade to those chips you would need to replace the motherboard with one capable of running those chips. If you decided to do that you would almost surely need new RAM as newer boards use newer technology. By the time you did this the upgrade would not be cost effective. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Internet connection keeps dropping

That may sound like a "roaming tendency" issue, with your laptop wireless card or settings, and/or general radio interference. try checking and tweaking the advanced settings of your wireless card, and maybe check for outside interference between your computer and router. Many cards have roam settings that dictate how often they roam between APs. I too live in an apartment complex, where other neighbors have their own WiFi router and there can be interference, and "intrusion issues" :? if your equipment is not properly set and secured.

Ip address for clients using autonomous cisco 1130ag witout dchp

the cisco1130ag will provide ip addresses and serve as a DHCP server for your laptops...

You still need an IP address for your 1130ag so either your ISP provides you a static ip that you can put in the 1130 or if your ISP provides dhcp then you should be able to plug and play with your 1130ag

Configure cisco aironet wifi

if ur using IOS autonomous AP, then u'll need to configure the bvi interface to get an ip address and then enable the interface. once it has an ip, u'll need to configure the ssid, vlan, etc - choices include doing so with the CLI or web page GUI. U'll need to enable the built-in web server then u can access it via the web interface to setup the ssid, any vlans, radius, etc. good luck.
