Where do i get a simple site to download the soft ware for a hp officejet pro 8500 for a three year old mac book

Hello, I suggest you have a dig around the HP website as there appear to be several variants of your Officejet 8500. Go to www.hp.com and it will automatically detect your country and take you to that country's web page, though I recommend you try to get on the USA site by going to the bottom of the page and clicking on the world icon. Once there, select 'drivers and downloads' and on the next screen type in your model type, ie 'Officejet Pro 8500'. When I did this several versions came up and only you know which one you have!. If you go to the drop-down menu to select you OS, Mac OS X comes up with no version type, but if you go to the top of the page you'll 2 boxes, in the 'Product' one, make sure you've got 'Officejet Pro 8500' in there, and in the 'question or keyword' box type in 'what version Mac OS X' then in the results you'll see quite a lot of hyperlinks to pages, and at least 2 of them refer to OS X 10.4, but as I said before, you'll have to have a good dig around yourself. The HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless is actually a series of All-in-One Printers.
look at the following site (actually the HP (UK) site) and download the driver from that page.

Have you setup the the printer to find for wireless and you also then must setup the "Mac" for wireless.

The printer will then seek wireless products and log in. Its fairly simple, I had a similar problem the mistake was setting up the printer to seek other wireless products
