SOURCE: sears refrigerator

stopped up drain in the freezer remove back freezer panel and
unthaw the drain pan and the tube, the tube connects to the bottom of the metal pan, you will see a hole about the size of a dime direct the heat from the hair dryer at this hole it may take 20 min, to thaw
pour some water down the hole if it is clear of the ice the water will run to the drain pan at the bottom of the ref
if it does not keep thawing until it does

SOURCE: I have a GE Refrigerator 25 CUFT SS Side/Side

you need to remove the rear access panel inside the freezer and find the defrost heater and check this and see if the element is open,it is under and the side s of the evaporator, and if this is good you need to see if the defrost timer or adaptive defrost board is bad

KENMORE 79577579600 REF. with an error code er-1f the manual said " poor bldc connection, drive IC , and TR. checked the connection and its fine but WHAT IS THE DRIVE IC AND TR? if I unplug the fridge and...

This is an error code for the icemaker fan motor.
If the control does not see a signal coming back from the fan motor you will get this error code.
Please see the image below from the service manual that explains the ER IF error code.

http://media.fotki.com/1_p,wkbwtkdqbqkgrkkxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/ktfgsrbbdxktrrwffdr/1/1303472/5961857/image18067img-or.jpg

The ER IF code indicates a failure of the icing fan.

You may notice slower ice production but the other fans should be okay.

You can select the ultra ice option and see if the fan toggles on.

The fan or the control is bad.

Not cooling!

check the rear of the freezer you may find a build up of ice there if so you have a defrost problem chances are the heater is bad you can unplug ref and let thaw or you can tear into the rear (pretty easy) and defrost with hair dryer and look at theheater which is a glass tube usual only one at the bottom of the coils but some models have two one in the center you will most likely find them bad if they are not chrome looking then they are bad replace defrost thermostat also this is common rule.let me know what you find god luck
