Cannon scanner pixma s it's not scanning

Printer is in use or an error has occurred. check status. Scanner driver will be closed.

if scanner is not in use there is a problem using it with the USB unplugged.

Please try to uninstall the printer software, then restart the PC and reinstall the latest software, by downloading it from the canon support site.

This sounds like a software driver issue. look for the software at the printer manufacturer's website. After you download the software, follow the included installation instructions.

suspect you do not have the cannon scanning software installed.
suggest downloading the drivers from cannon

Then hopefully the program for scanning is installed.
and it works out how your scanner is connected to your pc ?

The scanner unit cannot detect the home
position, or the scanner unit warming-up is not

this link above is for manual and troubleshooting have a look in the manual. you need both scanner and printer drivers installed also the Cannon scan/print manager also you can scan from PC too

so simple
open the photoshop then click import then usb scanner then it will open the scanner window

Hi there,

• Unplug the Scanner cable from the computer.
• Unistall the Scanner drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the Scanner appications
• restart the computer
• try to download drivers from the website
• after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the Scanner.
• then you can connect the Scanner and and try to Scan.
