Hello,
it could be the motor ,or perhaps the belt is broke but sounds more like the motor since ge uses a belt switch so if the belt were broke it would not even make the buzzing sound.
get some help from someone in the house and set the timer to any cycle,open the door and push in the door switch then have the other person engage the start switch while you rotate the drum if the dryer runs like that but wont start with the door closed and engaging the start switch as normal the start winding is bad on the motor and the motor would need to be replaced and the cost of that is about equal to a new dryer

The problem could be in the motor, with the belt, or a few more things.
