I'll assume that you mean "CONNECT set top box to TV". Look at both devices for the options of physical connection. If both have an HDMI connection, choose that first. If HDMI is not an option, then see if component connection (5 RCA connectors: RGB+RW) is available. If both are not options, then see if AV is an option (3 RCA connectors: Y+RW). If you have a real dinosaur, then go with Coax and set the TV to channel 3 or 4. Now that the TV is connected to the set top box using the best available connection, program the set top box as required by that particular box. From now on, you'll only change channels with the set top box.

How to tune channels on a 14 inch RCA tv?

You need a good set top box, either Hi definition or standard Pal, to make any CRT Television work. These days, non digital TV do work well but they no longer accept analog signals, but when connected to a set top box that receives digital signals, the box converts the digitals signals to analo and sends then to the RCA inputs of your TV and not via an antenna connected to the set top box and the TV.

Hi, Your set top box (PVR) is running on channel 3 or 4. Go to menu and sellect a source TV, DVD
Note: Do not connect more than 1 set of cables to tv or you may damage something.
TV > box connect RCA cable or HDMI not both.
Set top box > connect RCA or HDMI Not both.
audio devices > TV connect RCA or HDMI not both.

I can't get all the channels on my set top box.

Thanks for working with me to solve your problem. The reason you cannot watch those channels on this TV is because you are using an incorrect connection between the set-top box and the TV. A co-axial cable cannot carry an HD signal.

You will need to connect your set-top box to your TV with one of the following cable types.

1. HDMI
2. Component A/V
3. S-Video with separate audio cables.

You will need to check which sockets you have available on both the set-top box and the TV to determine which cable you should use.

Following this, you may also need to run the channel scan again. They should already be tuned, but currently you are not able to watch them. The correct channel numbers for these stations will depend on your region.

If you have any questions or need any further assistance, please let me know.

BElectric

We have a bush set top box with no instruction book. one channell Win (9)is indicating ''no reception'' We were told by a local TV repairer to re tune our tv. How?

Hi
You should not have to re-tune your tv as the set top box will be plugged in via a scart lead so its the set top box that needs to be retuned.
Go to the menu of the set box and select new installation under features or set up.
Hope this helps

How to connect settop box to tv with no avs

You will have 2 UHF plugs on your set top box.. One for input (aerial) and 1 for output (TV). Connect your main aerial to set top box UHF input and connect an Output UHF lead from set top box to TV. Next switch on set top box and retune tv on a spare channel until you get set top box channels (good idea to switch on menu on set top box so you know you are tuned into set top signal )

My analogue tv doesn't do anything when connected to the new set top box. The scart is connected and the aerial also. Are there some anologue tv's that can't receive the digital signal? I already have 1...

Have you checked that your aerial is connected into the set top box & not into the TV? The aerial signal has to go into the set top box & then the box will be connected via your Scart cable into the TV. On the TV you will need to select the Scart input ie. AV1. This should give you the set top box incoming signal, you might then have to tune in the box by following the on screen instructions. Hope this help.

Can not get tv to reach channels from 2 to 70

Sounds like you need a set-top box from the cable company.  You hook that up to your TV, tune the TV to Channel 3 or 4, and use the set-top box to tune in all the channels.

Set up digital set top box

Either tune your TV to channel 2 or 3 or (on some TV's) to 91.
Then, connect the COAX-output from the set-top-box to the COAX-input on your TV, or connect the "output" Red/White/Yellow RCA-jacks on the set-top-box to the Red/White/Yellow "input" RCA-jacks on your TV.

Can't re patch tv with set top box to watch tv

Hi.

Ok here goes.

1) Take airial lead from the wall socket in to antenna in on freeview box.

2) connect short usually black airial type lead in to antenna out socket on freeview. plug the other end of this lead in to aerial in on vcr.

3) connect the other end of this aerial type lead to airial plug on the back of tv.

4) now if you have 2 or more scart sockets on the back of tv set plug in the scarts in this order.
Freeview box scart with tv on it connect to scart 1 on tv set.
Freeview box vcr scart connect to vcr in scart socket on vcr.
Vcr scart marked tv plug scart from here to scart 2 on tv
If you have 3 scart sockets on tv you can connect dvd using scart to scart socket 3 on tv.

If Tv has only 1 scart the aerial leads will stay the same as I have stated,
Freeview must go to scart socket on tv set.
leave second scart from freeview to vcr plugged in so you can record freeview by putting vcr to line 1 or AV 1.
you will need to put tv on channel (0) & tune this channel to the video play a tape that you recognise then go to tv tuning & tune tv untill you see video playing then store this on channel (0).
DO NOT USE AUTO TUNING IT WILL PUT CHANNELS IN THE WRONG ORDER JUST USE MANUAL TUNING.

Now to view Dvd you will either need to purchase A scart switch box. Or have keep unpluging freeview scart from tv so you can plug in dvd .

If your tv has red yellow white phono sockets you can plug dvd in to these, you may need to purchase phono leads.

Hope this helps.
