Will not play cd - Technics Audio Players & Recorders

Could it be the CDs you can't play, are burned in a PC?
Not all CD players can or will play CD's burned in a PC. Sometimes the CD player is to old, so not compatible with these CDs. Sometimes the player just does not play these CD's, because of rights protection.
A CD burned in a PC is less reflective than an normal music CD. Normal CD's do have a metal coating and are highly reflective. Burned CD's have a dye, and where the laser burned the dye, it only changed colour. Making it less reflective.
All modern CD playes should be capable of playing CD r's. But the player that is really compatible, is labelled CDr and CDrw compatible.

Check all X Box games for scratches on the surface of each CD Disk.
Keep in mind, each game CD is read by lens Laser from the inner then to the outer edge of CD Disk.

Most people believe CD's are played like a record, from the outer edge to the inner.

If there are scratches, CD may be damaged beyond simply cleaning.
All cleaners and methods of cleaning are not the same.

Contact the manufacture of the CD to find out the best method of cleaning
or possibly repairing so game can be played.

If you CAN play some games and NOT others, this rules out a Laser Lens Player fault condition. Look for a reason of the CD will not play in the Laser Lens Player.

1.) CD in inserted into player wrong way?.
2.) CD surface is dirty or dusty?.
3.) CD is possibly warped or bent?.

Hi,when a system eject a CD and with a message "failed CD" It caused by the CD mechanisms that allows the CD to play to damaged that's why the CD keeps on rejecting the CD's being inserted into the CD player.

When you replace the CD mechanism that allow CD to play, problem solved.

Make sure the players can play the format you are using to burn. My surround sound system will play most audio but my car system will only play an origional cd format (AU) not mp3 or wav for example. Also some systems will not play cd-rw but will play cd-r and some won't play anything but origional cd's.

That sounds right, some of your cd players will not be able to play recorded cd's . It's lame, but that's the way it is. Sorry.

after you play a cd while the cd is playing go into your audio settings and adjust theres settings foe each part on a stereo if u set the audio for AM//FM then play a cd the stereo changes to the cd settings

It sounds like the CD has to be initialized, so the jukebox knows how many songs are on the specific CD.

To initialize a CD, go into service mode, input code 31, then index the cd number (two digits), then hit "popular". return the jukebox to play mode.
The carousel should scan and load the CD you initialized, and then return it to it's slot.

It should now be able to play any song on the CD you select.

Are you initalizing the CD's in your jukebox after you install them?
If so it should play all of the tracks.

It is probably because the CD player in that car will not play Cd's recorded on a computer or home CD recorder. There are lots of CD players out there like that still. You will need to get a car stereo that plays CD-R and CD-RW. That is the only solution.
