Intex Automatic Salt Water System for Above Ground Saltwater Pool Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jul 18, 2011

What is the best time of day to run the Salt Water System...Morning, Afternoon or Evening?.....and how long? Manual says run for about three hours but that doesn't seem enough...we have been having some very hot days...my chlorine level seems a little low so I've increased to four hours...thinking of increasing to more time after reading some of the posts here...seems folks are recommending 10 or 12 hours a day. Lastly, my water is a bit cloudy...is it OK to use some clarifier in the water?

I have an 18 X 33 oval and temparatures here range from 80 to 102 in the summer. I run my cycles at 10 to 12 hrs pump with 8 to 10 hrs chlorinator. Water stays crystal clear, no cloudy.. Now...if you don't keep the electrolytic cell clean and maintain the proper salt levels, you will struggle with making free chlorine...
Hope I helped??? AND... I HAVE NOT ADDED ANY CHEMICALS TO MY POOL IN THE 2 YEARS I'VE HAD MY INTEX SYSTEM...

Intex krystal pump systems how do i set the timers to set the interinterv

Nancy... This is how I have mine set up... I have a cheap Home Depot Timer that I use for the Filter/Pump the comes on at 6:00am in the morning and goes off at 12:00 pm... This Timer is very simple to use... For the Salt water System, For the first time I turned it on was at 6:30 AM (before work) and set it for 5 hours... Once is has completed the 5 hours, it will go into Sleep Mode and automatically start 24 hours later, so in my case, it will start the next day at 6:30 am... So i have have my Filter/pump come on 1/2 hour before the salt system comes on and it goes off 1/2 hour after the salt system goes off...

Hope that helps.

I lost my installation cd? what do i do?

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night, whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post. Thank you for choosing FixYa to assist you with your problem. You have lost your installation CD and you do not know what to do? The best solution I have for you is to order another one from the manufacturer. Go to this website and fill in the information as listed- http://us.creative.com/support/custsup/askus/emailformcs.asp. Like I said before, this is the best solution I can think of. I don't think you'll find a replacement CD at an online store like Amazon or eBay. Thank you for choosing FixYa as your one-stop solution spot for your problems. I just bought a Kenneth Cole Unlisted mens watch. There is no instructions on how to set the day and date. Is it broken out of the box or are those dials just fakes? Jens

The Mode button on the bottom left hand side will set your "SET" buttons to work.

The first push of your Mode button will activate your Stop Watch. Press the top right button to time your subject. Press it again to stop timing your subject.

Pressing the bottom right button will reset your Stop Watch to zero.

Press the Mode button to release your Stop Watch function and return to the Telling Time function.

Press the Mode button twice and you'll be able to set your Alarm function. Your Hour number will be flashing. Press the top right button to set your Alarm Hour. If you Alarm Hour is for the afternoon or evening continue pushing until a "P" appears by your hour number . This will be your afternoon/evening hour. If there is no "P" that, of course, will be your morning hour.

Press the bottom right button to adjust the minute number of your Alarm function. Your minute number will be flashing. Again, using the top right button, you'll be able to adjust your minute number.

(If you hold any number changing button for a long time, the numbers will flash through rapidly.)

Press the mode button to release your Alarm setting function.

Press the Mode button three times to set the Time of Day on your watch. At this point you'll also need to push the bottom left button to activate your Time of Day function. after pressing the bottom right button your minute number will start flashing. Press the top right button again to adjust your minute number. Once that's done, press the mode button to release your time of day function.

Hope this helps!

We change our pool that we have had for 10 years over to the intex salt system. 4ft X 24 ft round above ground pool. 13500 gla water. We put in 10- 40lb bas of pool salt and have ran the system for the 12...

The pool is green because you didn't take the metal out of the water first. It is too late now to do that ... you will just have to let the filter grab it. It may trake several days. Run the filter 24/7 for those couple days for best results.

Next time you fill your pool ... get a sequestering agent to grab the metals before you introduce CL to your pool. Use the sequestering agent according to the container instructions.

Your salt level should be around 3200 ppm, is it?
