Most likely, the lid switch or a power problem (plug, outlet, circuit breaker).

Check the lid for a plastic or metal prong that pushes a plastic thing on the washing machine. This is the lid switch. It stops everything if the lid is lifted. If the prong on the lid is broken or missing, it needs to be replaced. If the switch doesn't make a definite 'click' when you manually press it, it is bad and needs replacement (doing this may cause the washer to start agitating, so keep your hands away from the moving parts inside).

If none of this helps, it may well be the coin mechanism and/or timer.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

What goes on to these foreign coins you receive in change?

I'd assume the great majority get recirculated even by companies whether intentionally or unknowingly. It's probably an identically sized foreign cash might go through a few hands unseen. Several may get given to foreign coins are accepted by charities who, but there are most likely really few came back to their country of source through circulation. Also coin types removed of blood circulation could be discovered years later. In a side notice, we may all be amazed just how many additional valuable coins, and international, proof, gold enter blood circulation from kids or others robbing them from an assortment and investing them. I proof and silver coins have been found by myself, and international coins from Europe, Indonesia, Little, and Sweden, among other locations. custom coins

Omnibook xe4500 long beep and now will not post bios. This happend when I was trying to boot to the DVD to reload the OS recovery disk. All the lights above the left side of the keyboard are lit up with...

screen never shows words, ever, does external screen work
at VGA port?
no bios does not just bug out , like ELVIS.
its ROM , ROW will not forget, (99.999999%) of the time.
good for 25+ years, by DESIGN.
unless humpty is pushed by geeks playing bios flash games.

this notbook is old , Pentium 4 , square screen , omg, old
512kb mem. ouch
HDD 30GB. (tiny)

first is what, try this
1: battery out. (big battery, ) take it out.
2: coin cell 3v not 2v, or its bad. replace coin, as all this old are bad.
3: power pack good. must put out full 19vdc voltage , does it? now.
4: BIOS hot keys work, (mine is ESC , key) is yours?
5 still no bios. does a flash light pointed at screen show data there?
yes/ no/. yes, back lamp burned out (or the DC/DC inverter card)
no screens, black screens still...
6: still dead, remove HDD, and DVD. drive. still dead.?BIOS> get BIOS working first. use the hot key.

remove all; easy things, even USB things.
7: remove all extra memory, RAM, if 2 sticks try 1. then run other by self. if runs now, ram removed is bad.
there is more, there are over 3million transistors there.

see black screen #1 here. goes into all steps, all paths for dead.
