Easy.
Remove memory card
turn on
re-charge
shut down
re-install memory card.....
If it does not turn on with memory card removed, connect to charger and turn on

SOURCE: pls help me with my nikon coolpix 3200 is not

The only realistic fix option for this is to check that the camera's battery contacts are clean and bright. If not, then clean them.

Otherwise, the most common cause of the fault which you describe is a faulty power switch. Sadly there's no longer a fix for this as it requires a replacement switch assembly and they're no longer officially available. The 3200 has been out of production for over five years now and is no longer supported by Nikon. Expect the switch to cost more than the camera is worth: you can get perfectly good working examples of the 3200 or very similar 3100 for less than the cost of the spare part or even for free on FreeCycle/Freegle.

You may find a switch for sale as an NOS item (New, Old Stock) but the fault was such a common occurrence that most will have been used to repair faulty cameras. If you get lucky then you'll need to remove the camera casing to replace the switch, I haven't done this on the 3200 since around 2006 so can't give you any specific guidance, but I do recall that it was a *very* awkward job. As with all simiolar products you'll also need to be very careful not to unnecessarily disturb any of the flexible circuit board connectors inside the camera and to take anti-static precautions such as wearing an earthed wrist strap.

Getting a professional repair is completely out of the question as labour charges will cost far more than the camera is worth. Most professionals would also advise that repairs are at YOUR risk; there's a high likelihood that during any repair attempt another, irreplaceable, part may fail.

There is also a chance that the fault may be caused by another faulty part, but finding out which one will still involve partially dismantling the camera and methodically testing the components. You can buy downloadable repair manuals to help you but you'll be up against the cost/benefit argument again as they'll cost more than the camera is worth and may not result in a successful fix.

One final point to consider: your camera has already exceeded it's five year maximum design lifespan, and few digital cameras get much older than that as the image sensor usually fails. Any repairs you do make are unlikely to result in much of a life extension for the camera.

Manufacturing technology has improved since then and image sensors should now last longer so maybe it's time to let your camera go to Silicon Heaven...

I hope that you've found my posting to be of some assistance, and hope that it helps you to decide whether to attempt a fix on your camera. All I ask in return is that you return the favour by taking a moment to rate my answer.

Try another battery. Even though you bought a new battery and charged it doesn't mean it is not bad.

My Coolpix S2500 wont turn on or charge. I didn't charge it for 3 weeks n now when i try to charge it nothing happens. what to do please help.

Just remove the battery and try loading it on a different charger. When you have a Multimeter, measure the voltage. This should be little over the voltage that is on the battery label (usually 7 Volt) should be at least 7,5 V when not in the camera. If it is not that high after a correct loading cycle, please replace the battery.

My nikon coolpix s220 just stopped powering on. i charged the battery, but that didn't help. any suggestions?

If the camera was dropped and it does not turn on with a known GOOD battery the camera must have been damaged. When you dropped it the FIRST time and it worked you were lucky. Cameras do NOT like to be dropped.

I can't upload my Nikon coolpix s2500 photos to my computer even though I have installed ViewNX2 from Disk supplied

ViewNX won't download pictures from your camera. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

I've got a nikon camera S2500 my lens are not

Did you try to remove the battery and than place it back?
By removing the battery, the camera resets.
If that does not work, don't apply force and never try to push back the lens, because you will damage the internal of the camera for sure.

PLEASE HELP, MY CAR IS MY JOB!!!my 85 bonneville wont start. when i turn the key it just clicks. i checked the battery, and my car is getting power. but it wont turn over?

I'm gonna give you 2 possible solutions, since you didn't specify if it clicks once when turned to start,or clicks repeatedly. If it clicks once, and the dash lights don't flicker,it's probably an issue with the starter(dead winding or solenoid contacts worn). If it clicks repeatedly when turned to start, then the battery is low on charge or has a bad cell.If you're messing with the battery cables, make sure you clean any green corrosion off of the cxables at the battery(because of GM's side post design, the corrosion is hidden and often forgotten).I have actually have seen corrosion between the battery and cable mimic a dead battery. If you do find a lot of corrosion, clean it up and try charging the battery on 10 amps charge overnight.

Blades wont stop till battery goes flat, then rotate again when you try charge it up

First, chopper must be "off" when charging.
If helicopter is powered off and blades move when it's hooked to the charger, then you have an incorrect charger. It's tricky as they all look the same. At one point I had 3 different "syma s107" helis that all used different chargers. Around 7 different Chinese and Taiwanese factories/companies produce the "syma" branded birds, and often with differing but very similar parts. There are at least 3 circuit board designs, different wiring patterns, and a couple batteries.... I've heard of people receiving a charger in the box with their 107 that didn't charge it. NEVER run battery dead. You will ruin it. What charging method are you using? Does it fly normally when charged? Do the blades ever move when it is powered off and not hooked to charger?

Let me know,
thanks PvT
