Right click on the bar at the bottom, click "Properties". In the Taskbar tab there is a button which will customize the Notification Area, Click it then select "Volume" to be shown on the taskbar.

Logitech

1.
Lets start with the obvious. Make sure the volume mixer control is not muted. This is usually a speaker icon at the bottom of the screen. If you do not see this then go to control panel, sounds and audio devices, and make sure nothing is muted.
2.
check device manager. This can be done in Win XP by right clicking my computer, properties, hardware, then click device manager. Alternative way to enter device manager is by clicking start menu, control panel, system (performance and maintenance), hardware then device manager.

In the deice manager window see if any question marks or exclamation points are visible.

If so, see if it the mark is for an audio device.

If it is an audio device, uninstall the device.

Next, try to install the sound card driver again. If that fails, the enter the device manager and uninstall the sound card again, restart the PC, ignore the hardware manager, and try to install the sound card driver software again.

No sound coming from speckers after restoring computer

You haven't reinstalled the drivers for your sound device. If it's a Dell, you'll either need the Blue/Gray CD that came with the computer labeled "Device Drivers", or go to support.dell.com enter your service tag #, and select "Drivers", and download drivers for sound.

Print job set to print 33 pages I don't want - cannot cancel!

There is an icon in the lower right corner of your screen. It looks like a printer. Double click on that icon then right click on the print job then click no cancel. It should hang there are refuse to disappear. what you do after this is to turn off your printer then turn it back on then restart your computer. It should be gone after that.

My screen has turned 90 degrees to the right and i cant fix it... i used the keyboard and must have pressed a couple of buttons together but now its gone stupid please can you tell me what buttons to press...

Usually, if you have an Intel graphics card (Most of these come onboard a Motherboard) then you have pressed Ctrl-Alt Left or Ctrl-Alt-Right. Try Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Up or Ctrl-Alt-Down. This should put your screen back to the right rotation.

To disable this, there should be a blue monitor icon in the bottom right hand status bar. You can disable the keyboard shortcuts by right clicking on that icon and selecting disable shortcuts (or something like that)
