I can't login to FB. I am putting in the correct email address and password, but it takes me right back to the login. I tries using https (attempt 1) as well. What else can I do to fix this?

1. Establish a new, separate email address. Use an email provider which is different than the one you currently use . . . Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo,Mail.com, etc. Make sure you use a strong password for that new email account and write it down somewhere and keep it in a safe place, in case you forget the password..

2. Open your Facebook account (your current email address + the latest Facebook password you established) and choose Settings.

Edit your Facebook Account Contact email address to the new one you just established and make it your Primary Email Address. Plus remove the email address you previously used as your Primary Email Address.

If you have a cell phone, make sure your cell phone number is provided as an alternate contact.

Save those changes.

3. Then, change your Facebook Password. You should see Security and Login in the left sidebar. Click or tap on that. Follow the on-screen instructions for changing your Password. Make your new Facebook password a strong one. Write it down, along with your new FB login / ID and keep it in a safe location so that you can refer to it if you forget it. Save that change.

4. Log out of your FB account.

5. Log back into your FB account, with the new ID/email address and new Password. NOTE: DO NOT allow your FB login and password to be saved through your browser and other devices. Saving that login information makes it easier for someone else to get into your account.

Only time will tell if the changes you make, as I have described above, will keep out anyone who was logging into your FB account.

Have you tried using another browser? If you are on IE, you can download Firefox and try it from there to see if that is the issue. A lot of times, reinstalling your browser (IE, Firefox etc) will help with this issue. Before you try to change your password, use another browser and try to log in from there. If it isnt taking it either; take these steps;

If you need to recover your password and change it;

Enter your email address,

Click submit;

Enter captcha;

A message will be sent to your back up email you signed up to gmail with.

If you do not have access to that email any longer to have gmail send another password;

In order to proceed with resetting your password, you'll need to stop making login attempts. Please allow 24 hours since your last login attempt then visit the page again. Please note: accessing Gmail via POP, IMAP, mobile, or with other Google products is considered activity.

You'll now have a chance to answer your secret question.

1. Go back to the link i sent you at the top of this message;
   
2. Enter your username.
3. Click Submit.
4. Answer the captcha.
5. Click Submit.

If you're unable to answer your security question and you have a recovery email address on your account, a link will appear at the bottom of the secret question results page.

Please try to answer the secret question given. If you're still unable to answer the secret question and are sure you're the correct owner of the address; go to

Hi' in regards to your emaill add try to go back on your old email add by clicking forgot password so for you to update back again your account , list on your details to not forget it when time comes . So if you successfully updated your account try to play again your FB and if it has problems now try to download a new version of mozillza firefox 5.1 just time in your browser and press enter or upgrade what the browser you are been using then be sure to upgrade also your flash player to 10.1 or the newer one .

There should be an option at the login screen which allows you to email your password to the email address you've provided when you created the facebook account. If you're not able to do this, you need to contact the facebook staff at http://www.facebook.com/help/?app_id=2378983609

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are going through.
Each facebook account has unique login information. What does this mean? Well, this means that you have two accounts and each account has unique login information. You can't login to one account with the login details from the other account. You can't use the same email address for two accounts. You may have deactivated the wrong account.

When you go to log in to your facebook account it ask for your email and your password. You will need to enter in the email address you used to create the correct account. It should be as simple as just entering in your email address and password to get to the right account.

There are a couple ways you can go to fix this. The easiest would be to reach out to facebook support and have them(I recommend) to delete the accounts and you start from fresh. They may be able to re-activate the correct account if it was deactivated.

If you can login you can go to the top right of the page and click on account to cancel,,if you cannot login or you feel that you are using the correct pass word you can contact FB
