I bought a used wireless guitar and have no idea how to sync it to the receiver. I don't know what model it is, but it's black with a red and yellow and orange face. There is no off/on switch on it. All I am getting is blinking green light on the reciever and blinking red light on the guitar.

SOURCE: Guitar not connecting

Try turning off your guitar and pushing and holding the button on the receiver in for 5 to 10 secs. Turn on guitar and they should be sync'd. If that doesn't work, turn off PS2 disconnect from power supply for a minute or so, plug everything back in and sync the receiver and the guitar again.

SOURCE: Receiver will not turn on for wireless guitar

I have torn 2 of these receivers apart and have ohm'd them out and found that the manufacturing process to put them together is very sub par.

On the two I had Capacitor c3 was off the board (smd). This is NOT a repairable problem if you don't have the low heat soldering equipment. Besides, you might correct one problem and find you have others because of the forceful procedures you have to do to get it apart.

Unfortunately the only thing you can do is buy a replacement (available at Red Octane's site[19.99]) or take a chance on EBAY sellers that claim to have the item [9.99].

Also, if you have a lot of time on your hands it is possible to hard wire the device (I do not have the pinouts). Pinouts should be online as I have seen several articles on it.

Hopefully I have given you some insight.

SOURCE: We bought the guitar online

you will need to bring that up with the manufacture, or you might find one cheaper on ebay or craigs list

DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE USB PLUG FOR THE ROCKBAND DRUMS FOR THE WII AND HOW DO YOU SYNC IT TO THE WII?

Yes, you do need to use USB for rockband drums for wii, but i don't know how to sync the drums, if they're wireless, if it's a wired set, just plug it in the back of the console, i know how to sync a wireless guitar, on the part you plug into the wii, there should be a tiny white button, and the guitar should have a white button on it, push both buttons at the same time (make sure that thee guitar has batteries and the other is in the wii), if done correctly you should be able to play, if the wireless drums work like that too, than i hope this info helped.

The AP1B was designed for the Bass as it gave a lower end signal responce the unit was designed to be intergrated into the effects pedal set up or into the bass itself .. the main difference is in the signal sent has a wider frequency on the bottom end..it now discontinued. according to their site..

I have guitar hero rock band set and bought rock band. The guitar an drums are set up on wireless how do you sync them to work with this game?

look on the instruments for a red button. press this button at the same time you press the red button on the front of your wii console. this should sync the system to the controllers. (the guitar should already be synced since you plug the wii remote into it, but do it anyway)

Guitar Hero Flashing Sensor Lights

Hi there,

Im guessing due to needing batteries that your Guitar is the Wireless type ?!

Have you correctly Synchronised your Xbox 360 with the Guitar controller ?

to do this, Turn on the Xbox and Guitar press the round "sync" button on the bottom of the guitar, next to its Ethernet port, and also press the small round sync button on the Xbox 360 (located to the left of the memory slots on the front face) at the same time, the rings of light on both the Xbox and the guitar will Turn in a clockwise motion letting you know they are synching, after that the Xbox will assign the guitar to a controller slot. then it should work.

If this doesn't work then im afraid your guitar may have a faulty wireless chip, which would require you to get a replacement.

hope it gets sorted !
