I have my new SE W8 ( E16i )..My problem is I cannot connect to the internet using my provider (GLOBE)..When I send message to 2951-Globe,they are telling that my phone is not compatible.My question is even in Sony Ericsson website,info is not also available on how to activate GPRS / MMS etc for this unit.Kindly help..Thanks in advance.

Just delete all connection sttings in your settings then, select connection settings delete all, then ask a new settings to your service provider. for smart text SET phone model then send 211, for globe just text Go send to 2951 for suncllular text Activate send to 2300 and text setting send to 2300.

Activate your sim for GPRS settings, then contact your service provider, for globe just txt GO and send to 2951 for smart text SET phone model and send to 211

Sometimes,GPRS configuration settings automatically pop-up when you insert your sim and powering the phone ON.it will ask you save and confirm as the default.also ask for the code then just enter 1234. it is free of charge on globe now a days.

For a complete listing of compatible MMS & GPRS phone handsets - send Nokia, Sony-Ericsson, Motorola, LG, Verzio, iPhone 3G or Samsung (your handset model) to 2365.

To get your phone's settings, text GO (handset model) to 2951. Example, GO N3650. (For a list of compatible handsets, refer to #1)

Note: For Nokia 6220, 6600, and 6820, text GO < handset model >,1234 and send to 2951. Make sure to type in the two commas before the 1234 PIN. Regular text messaging charges will apply.

Hi.Have to call Globe customer service for manual configuration.Each phone brand has different configuration.

You need to contact your cell phone service provider to arrange for the Internet service.

Make sure that your mobile GPRS settings are active, if not activate it.

For Globe subscribers:

For a list of compatible MMS & GPRS handsets, send NOKIA, ERICSSON or SAMSUNG (depending on your handset model) to 2365.

Note: Regular text messaging charges will apply.

To get your phone's settings, text GO (handset model) to 2951. Example, GO N3650. (For a list of compatible handsets, do as instructed above)

Note: For Nokia 6220, 6600, and 6820, text GO (handset model),, 1234 and send to 2951. Make sure to type in the two commas before the 1234 PIN.

· Send an MMS message for only P5.00 to activate the service.

just request your service provider for GPRS settings , so that they will send you the settings to be saved, now you can activate and use the Net ans also the MMS service.

Follow the sequence : MENU -> CONNECTIVITY-> GLOBE SVCS-> PREPAID SERVICES-> GPRS SETTINGS. That's it,enter ur phone unit T630 and send. Wait for the instructions from globe. Or u can simply type T630<>and send to 2951. Gud luck!
