SOURCE: bosch wff 2000 washing machine - won't spin/drain

I had a similar problem a few years ago, sometimes it would pump out sometimes it just stopped and would not spin. Turned out the pump was broken so I replaced that and everything has been fine since. The guy in the spares shop told me it was not uncommon and showed me how the impeller could stick to the casing magnets. The pump cost about £40

SOURCE: Getting HF error, on Whirlpool Front load washer

Dear jodyheidi,
Welcome to fixya.com
I'm Huuum and happy to assist you,

Try this first and if it fails to remedy the problem then call service as you wanted!

Huuum At your service!

With an error code.
This can reset the system.
First unplug the washer and wait a 5 minutes then restart it.
If you can't reach the plug, use the breaker to cut the power for 5 minutes.

It's like rebooting your computer when its acting strange!
Usually it corrects some error problems if they are not serious.
Or they are sometimes just a glitch.
let me know how it works out.

How old is the appliance?

Let me know how you progress!
Bless You, Huuum

LG front loader soap won't dissolve and is still in cup after clothes are washed.

Cup is only for liquid soap. Remove and place powdered detergent into tray.

In general, you do not need to dissolve powders before washing. In some cases, you can alter spin speed but not time.

I have been given an LG WD 1049c front loader and am not sure which section the powder goes in. The tray has three sections?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

A quick and easy way to find out which tray is which is to pull the detergent drawer out just so that you can see into it. Start a pre-wash and see where the water runs in, then advance to the main wash and observe. Finally start a rinse cycle and where the water goes in is where the conditioner/softener goes.
In a few cases I have come across, the pre-wash tray shares with the conditioner/softener part but the pre-wash powder goes in the front and the softener in the back.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Leaking water

Water can't leak out the top from overloading unless the entire tub is full of water which is a major malfunction, or an inlet hose between the powder drawer and tub is somehow blocked (extremely unlikely).. Are you using topload detergent? Normal detergent can foam up and out through the drawer and leak onto the floor..
Normally water enters through the top of the powder tray to disperse it into the tub. pull out the tray slightly while filling to see how this works. You might be able to identify that the water is not flowing properly. Normally you can really pack into a front loader, I've been thrilled with my 5100 for 8yrs.
If this doesn't help let me know and I'll suggest next step.
Good luck!

Have a lg tromm front loader and am wondering if it is ok to run regular detergent instead of the hd stuff. C.

Not recommended. When buying the correct product you should also find the front loader much more economical on washing powder than a top loader.

Powder vs. liquid laundry detergent

I was searching the net looking for the same answer - have just bought an LG front loader but wasn't certain I should be using liquid detergent - my manual refers to powder without telling you specifically to use it only. Look at the answers to the question after yours on the Fixya website "LG washer has awful mildew odour" or something similar. Solution 3 by Tresilla convinced me I should use powder! Also, the salesman who sold me the machine recommended powder because, quote, " gentler on clothes and more efficient ..." - he didn't mention the possibility of a later mildew odour which is apparently generic to front loaders!
