Hi, I have a nokia E71 and i want to block calls from a particular country code. Can call barring feature help me in blocking those numbers from calling me?

i doubt if your nokia came with a call blocking feature, infact most nokias i've seen or used does not come with that feature. However you can download a third party software for that. Just visit mobango.com or getjar.com and do a search for call screening.

Deactivate all barrings.

To change the password used for

barring voice, fax, and data calls, select

Options > Edit barring password.

Enter the current code, then the new

code twice. The barring password must

be four digits long. For details, contact

your service provider.

nokia phones are not made to block specific phone numbers. special applications must be installed or be downloaded to have this made but i doubt it. nokia only has the call barring feature that bars ALL calls and incoming text messages.

From there u can either select the divert calls option...

or
block calls options...

Menu>settings>call settings>

if you mean that you are trying to place outgoing calls where you don't want the call recipient to be able to see your number the way to do that is to dial #31# and then the number you are calling for example:
#31#310-222-3333 (the recipient will see "blocked number" instead of your number)

I have been told this not possible on nokia 6300 without buying a package which I don't need as I will just ignore call from this particular caller.
