Can you run the machine without venting it outside,I have mislaid my manual.

  • Anonymous Jul 16, 2011

The most common cause would be the lack of pressure in the system (low refrigerant). There is a pressure switch which prevents the compressor from running (clutch engaging) when the pressure in the system drops.

    More info, let me know.

If an A/C unit is not pumping to the outside the hot air it removes from the room it's in, it acts as a dehumidifier. Without venting, the heat is just put back into the room.

More info, let me know.

How can I diagnose, isolate and repair my Amana, NED7200TW dryer it runs but will not heat?

Since you say it happened gradually seems like it's not the heating element. If that's functioning properly you should see the orange glow inside the dryer when running. If your dryer does not have a glass door you can keep the dryer running by holding the button in. Look on the door, at some point you should see something that makes contact and pushes a switch on the frame. You can trick it by manually closing the switch. Be careful. I would suspect the trouble is a clogged lint exhaust. Over time this will fill with lint preventing the moist air to escape. This is how the dryer works. The hot wet air in the drum needs to vent outside to dry the clothes. When this becomes clogged you have nowhere for the moisture to go. So it stays in the drum and runs and runs without drying clothes. Also make sure you clean out the lint trap after each use. Clean the entire vent path. Also make sure you are venting outside. If not, you are just recirculating wet moist air back into the dryer. When working properly, you should feel a good flow of warm wet air at the outside vent. If not there is still a clog. Good luck.

Where is the " Outside " air vent located? the " circulation " button is for " inside " air only.

Normally the system pulls outside air in unless you select defrost or push the "circ" button to override the system. The outside air comes in from the area in front of the windshield.

My dryer will not dry my clothes. it gets hot but have to run 3 times. i've checked the vent and it appears to be clear

check the vents good,, inside and outside of your home,, then check and make sure your vent hose is not kinked,, if all is good take the vent off the back of the dryer and start it , make sure the air is coming out good and hard,,, if it is then try to run it for a load without the vent on it( it will get warm in the room its in and it might get alittle dusty) if it dries like it should it is something in the vent,, if not get a service tech to check it out,, dont pay for a service tech to clean out your vent that is why you check the vents real good,, the outside gets clogged up more than the inside

Whirlpool dryer, it takes 2 or 3 cycles to dry a full load, the clothes are warm and when I disconnect the rear exhaust and turn it on it blows pretty good, it never took so long to dry the clothes

check the vent hose to the outside, especially if there's been siding installed on the house and the vent has one of those plastic guards by the outside exhaust, for keeping birds out, this can plug around the vent and build up with wet lint, run it without the hose on and see if drying time comes down to normal again, then you know the outside vent is the problem

Samsung Microwave for over the range vent issue

Most over the range models can be vented to the outside, or they can be set up (sometimes requiring a special adapter) to recirculate with a charcoal filter.

It depends on the model, and you would of course have to consult the installation instructions to be sure.

You can download many Samsung over the range microwave installation instructions here.

You may need the free DJVU viewer to view or print your manual.

You can order Samsung parts here.

Splendide Comb-o-matic 2000 how do you vent it to the outside

Use 2.5" plastic pipe & elbow to replace aluminum elbow & hose with spring inside. Air velocity is higher, lint blows out without collecting.
I used wood router to remove part of exhaust connector on rear of dryer to better fit elbow. Elbow interior was smoothed to prevent lint sticking. Elbow was mounted with silicone sealant and 2 screws. Pipe was glued to elbow as normal glued pipe connection. Pipe end was cut even with side of dryer.
After Spendide was installed in RV, a union was stuck in from outside RV. Union slides on to pipe without sealant so Splendide can be removed from RV. Union better fills outside vent fitting than bare 2.5" plastic pipe. Temporary seal aroung union was made of urethane foam scraps, common shipping stuff from a computer monitor box. After 2 years of temporary, the foam is now considered permanent.
Original problem was constant lint problems in hose and slow drying. With pipe, not hose, lint is rarely cleaned and drying is much faster.
