HI Can i use the xp180 on the floor to hang curtain rails

Decide on where you want to put the hangers/anchors then check to see if there are any window braces in the wall that will support the hangers. If so hang the anchors. If not find where the inner window frames are and adjust the position of the hangers.

Both are very good alternatives to conventional solutions of hanging curtains, however, both have their share of pros and cons. As far as curtain spring rods are concerned, they can be an absolute bliss in terms of installation, a process that can take no more than 10 seconds. You will also not have to drill any holes through the walls which can be a blessing.

Extendable curtain rods are in very high demand because of their flexibility in terms of area of installation be it shower stalls kitchen windows or any others for that matter. On the flipside, general models will not be able to hold heavy curtains for which you will have to look for conventional solutions.

The most important thing with fitting hardware is to find the studs in the wall for brick veneer or in the case of solid brick, you must ensure the wall plug goes deeper than the wall plaster. The wall plug needs a hole drilled for a good fit- not loose or the plug will rotate as you tighten the screw.

Side openning - you can adjust the curtain postion after installation by lifting the cord from its clip on the carriage and moving the carrier along to the correct position.
On one of the carrier slides there needs to be an overlap for the little carry bar for the curtain hooks so you do not get a gap when the curtain is shut.

I may be rambling here, but a simple stud finder is really handy to find the studs (vertical timbers) It also shows power cables but they will not be as wide. Any photos of your house under construction is good to show where the timbers and power cables are.
It is a good idea not to hit the power cables - tends to burn things - like houses.

I wentto WalMart and a sales rep showed me how the machine works. I had already attached the curtain extension back in the proper place ont the machine. This action automatically returned the suction to the floor.

Ok you need to defrost this unit eg unplug and leave all doors open for 48 hours then get some "flexy curtain wire (white plastic coated, used for hanging net curtains) this wire is perfect for getting up or down the fridge drain.

If you are going to use both a shower curtain and a shower liner, you have two options for installation. You can either use one rod and one set of rings, or you can use two rods and two sets of rings. If you used one rod, line up the liner and the curtain so they are facing one another and thread one ring through each of the corresponding grommets on the both the liner and the curtain. The curtain liner will move as one unit. If you use two rods, you need one set of rings for each, and the liner and the curtain will move independently.
