Mitsubishi 65 inch rear projector TV with remote. Model WS65807. HD ready, but not HD. Has failed circuit board, part number 930B866001. This board regulates audio and video. Part no longer available from Mitsubishi. Conn's refuses to service it. TV otherwise in good shape. Is it worth the trouble of finding a replacement board?

Short answer: No.

The board and install will cost you more than an LCD/LED flat screen TV.

Sorry for the bad news, but you will save space and electricity with the new TV.

Next problem: Trashing the projection TV.

Most common repair is one or two open fuses in power supply
and bad convergence Ic's = expensive repair.........Also, have
the tech check for coolant leakage from CRT's...........T.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi VS-5071 rear projection turns on, has audio but no video

That is a VZ3 chassis, similar to Mitsubishi models Ts-4545, Ts-5045, Ts-5545, Vs-4543, Vs-4544, Vs-5043, Vs-5044, Vs-5047, Vs-6043, Vs-6047 and has common failures in the vertical circuit, specifically vert Ic401 which is a La7845 which is usually caused by defective C402 100uf 50v and/or open 1.2 ohm 2 watt R510 next to FBT.
If not that check C268 off Q215 on signal board 22mf/50v and Ic200 on signal module Cxa2025s. However the vertical failure is more likely.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WS-65313 65 in. TV will no longer power up.

You should call a good TV Tech. This problem cannot be solved by a consumer. The one thing you might try is to unplug it from the wall for a few minutes and then try it again.

Projector needs adjustment

If the model number is correct the set may have in the tech menu a way to move centering etc with the original remote.

I can get the information for that if needed but what is the issue? What does the picture look like after the move?

Mitsubishi WS65807

The Color Signal on this Model Series travels across three boards before being sent to the CRTs. The 3DYC Board, Signal Board and the Terminal Board. Most likely, the 3DYC Board or the Signal Board is causing the problem. I have had intermittent solder connections on the 3DYC Board to cause no color problems. This Board plugs in and is located on the left front of the Signal Board as you look from the rear of the chassis. If you feel you are not up to the task to work on the set, call a Mitsubishi professional. To find one, call Mitsubishi at 1800-332-2119.
I hope this helps,

Needing a new remote

if you are wanting the original remote you can visit:

if you are wanting to control more than just the tv such as an entertainment center i would go to a technology store such as circuit city and purchase a harmony remote

Mitsubishi WS-65869 tv

You should have everything you need. I really don't think you have to order anything. Make sure you have whatever set top box you are hooking up to TV on the correct mode or setting... 1080i 720P 480P 480i etc....If you have any other questions... email me back or hopefully this was enough to get you up and running. Good luck and Happy Holidays....Jay

Projection TV keeps shutting down

I just took my Mitsubishi WS-65315 65" in to be repaired for the same problem and was told that it needed a new main circuit board part number 930b899005 as was told they wanted to charge me $1100.00. So I told them not to do the repair and picked up my tv and found that same part at Sears parts for only $225.00. Some of these TV repair places are theifs.
