You need to log in the same kindle account and the purchased books will be synced automatically. If this doesn't work, you can convert the kindle books to epub file and transfer to ipad. You need to connect your Kindle device to computer and then convert the books in Kindle. After that, you can transfer the books to ipad with iTunes or iTransfer. tap top let corner of page. That should bring you to a list of options, like change font size and other icons. tap the corner again and you should be back to main menu listing. tap the book name when finished to go back to where you left off.

Hook your kindle fire to your computer. When the auto play window appears click on "view files". When your kindle hard drive files appear then look for the books file on your kindle. Click on the books folder then copy and paste them on your desktop then unplug your kindle. Plug your wife's kindle in then do the same to open her books folder then copy and paste the books from your desktop into her book folder.
Sounds like your wife's kindle is registered in your name. You can find out by logging into your account on amazon. Up the top open your account window then scroll down and click on " Manage Your Devices". If your wife's kindle in on your account then you have to unregistered it from your account then see would register it in her name. She can do this while on her kindle table.
I've got a kindle and as far as I know you have to go to your library and delete them line by line. There is no select all facility, which would have been handy when I emptied the wifes Kindle which had 800 books on it.
Unfortunatelly Kindle does not have this feature. But the books you read get pushed down the
list. Or you can delete the book by using these steps:
1. Select a book and click the left arrow on the 5-way button
that brings up a delete button the screen. 2. Press the center button and
you delete the book.
Another option is to move the book to a collection this is like to archive the books you already read.
