Quiet comfort humidifier not working

Is this a newly installed unit it sounds as if there's a wiring issue. Could you show a picture of the wiring terminals. If this is not a new install try turning of your furnace fan.

Hello, if there is no water draining out of the humidifier than it is not working, The humidifier should turn on and off with the furnace, The best thing to do is have the humidifier tuned up by changing the water panel, making sure the there is voltage present the the solenoid valve, and making sure the water supply is getting to the solenoid valve. you may try running your blower 100% of the time.this should allow the humidifier to stay on even when your not heating. once the humidity level gets to where you want it, you may be able to put the fan selector back to auto. also you mentioned you have a variable blower. this is great if it is set up to run at approx. 20% fan speed when it is not heating or cooling. at 20% you can circulate enough air through the house to humidify without being able to hear the noise of the blower. it will really increase the comfort level of the house if you tend to have hot and cool spots. if it was not set up this way, contact the installer and ask if they can do this for you.

Those filters don't last forever! Whenever I had that problem, I just replaced the filter. (The fresh filters also contain some kind of anti-bacterial or anti-fungal, since you're not supposed to add anything to the water which would spray into the air.) My problem has been finding new filters--does Sears still carry them? (The small one I was in recently does NOT.)
