Hi - AEG combi oven KB9810EM not responding to start button - I can set functions etc but pressing start does not turn oven or microwave on. Internal light also remains on for about 15-20 mins. Tried turning off at socket, but does not reset it. Door closure detection switch fault?
Found out what it was - one of the door closure switches had become unseated and wasn't registering the door as closed. Hope this helps others!Found out what it was - one of the door closure switches had become unseated and wasn't registering the door as closed. Hope this helps others!

why ask the blind this, find a appliance repair shop that does microwave ovens, and they look and tell you.
we can't look, or touch it here in any text box.
looking is big deal in the repair business and lots more.
The Safety Block is active and the oven functioning is blocked. This can be useful, for example to stop it being used by children.
To unlock it, refer to the User Instruction manual
It can be released in AEG KB98xx/KM98xx models by simultaneously pressing in the ["+" and "-"] or ["P" and "-"] buttons. "P" is the Programme button here.
It can be released in other appliances by pressing the Stop button for 3 seconds.
Please add a comment with the model number for direction specific to your oven. I will attempt to determine if there is a different combination to enable or disable the child lock feature. Note: at least one AEG microwave/grill uses Press "Micro+Grill" once. Then press "Clear/Stop" 5 times to toggle the child lock on and off.
Press
the "Off/Clear' button to cancel anything on the display, and reset the
microwave. This is a soft reset and will simply get you out of any
program you have started. Press it when the cooking complete reminder
appears on the display.
Perform
a hard reset. Pull the plug out of the wall power supply, and wait a
moment. Plug the microwave back into the wall power supply to reset
any anomalies with the microwave's memory. You will need to reset the
time of day if you perform a hard reset.
Reset
the time of day. Press the "Clock" button, and turn the dial to set the
hours. Press the dial to enter. Follow the same procedure for the
minutes and a.m. or p.m. Press the "Start" button to start the clock. This should help fix the problem.
Just found out that the 'safe' mode on my oven is for child protection. I had to press 'p' en 'minus' (-) at the same time for a few seconds. Problem was solved immediately. My oven is an AEG-Electrolux Micromat-Combi.
cant see controls on pic so this is guidance
turn function dial to "oven" you may be able on this dial to select fan or convential oven. turn stat up to required temp.
it is so easy that i just wonder if you haqve another problem. the usual is the clock set to "auto" in error. drag you handbook out and set the clock making sure you get in on manual. easiest way is to switch off at the wall and start from scratch. get back to me if this does'nt help
