Usually this is quite an easy problem, just open the cupboard or drawer the knob is connected to, take a star screw driver and tighten the screws of the knob from the inside, this should solve your problem.

Depends on type of hinge, If it swings back open after you closed it then either the cupboard is not level (old style hinge)... Or the spring inside hinge is bad/broken and not holding it closed. If the door opens back just a bit (1/2 inch or so) see if hinge has adjustable screws.
Look for a small set screw on the side of the deadbolt on the inside of the door loosen the set scrww and remove the cover to expose the screws that hold the door knob on
I reckon you are right, they are probably glued on.
You might try a hair dryer and blow hot air on the metal plates, all the whilst trying to pop them loose with a thin blade.
God bless your efforts.
On the inside side of the door knob, there is a decorative plate. Depending on which model door knobs you have, it is held on with a "set-screw" that might require an allen-wrench (looks like an 8-sided tool; usually in an L-shape), or just simply a screw driver, to loosen and remove it. Once you take the decorative plate off, there will be two very obvious screws that hold both sides (inside and outside) of the door knob together. Tighten these screws to tighten your knobs, then put the decorative plates back on again.
Hello there: the first thing that you need to do is use your tool if you have it and on the door knob look for a flat silver slot and press in on it and the door know will come off. Next use the pointed tip and look at the plate that covers the door hole and you will see a small hole put the point in the hole and just like a wrench turn it to the left to loosen it just like a nut and it will loosen up now just spin it off ond there will be a plate under neath this top plate so take this off. next you will be able to push the know out and this will release the lock assembly Now you are done this is a very easy door knob to work on ok? just replace the new door knob following the instructions ok? I really hope that this has helped you out ok best regards michael
With most garage door openers, you can look under the light bulb cover and you'll find two numbered knobs. These knobs set the motor torque/speed ratio. Basically, if the door is really smooth having the knob turned down will make the motor go faster. Turning the knob up will give the motor move "oomp" but it will move a little slower. One knob adjusts the power going up and the other knob adjusts the power going down. This basically depends on how good the springs are working on the door itself. So just adjust the knobs until the motor is running each direction "comfortably".
I agree with your Hacksaw method. Very easy and very fast. You are going to want to replace the knob anyway so this does not happen again. Just Hacksaw that knob as close to the door as you can without damaging the door. From there you are on your way to access to the parts of the lock. Now you can replace that knob and never have this trouble again!!!! One less headache in Life......Hope this helps you ........Joe
The screws are located in the inner part of the cupboard, just hold the knob with one hand and with a screw driver tighten the screws without applting to much force.
It's actually quite simple, all you need is a drill and the right size or drill bit.
Choose a drill bit a about the size of the hole required, if you are not sure, choose a smaller size, it's easier to make a hole bigger.
Take apart the old knobs, from the inside of the cupboard, use the drill make the old holes bigger.
