Good afternoon. I have a Jandy Legacy 125KBtu that will not fire. The screen reads "Fault - Shorted air sensor". What should I do to fix the problem? Call repair tech or can I fix it myself? If myself, to troubleshoot? Thank you, Clarke Simm

The link below is the manual for your heater.

http://www.hydropool.com/downloads/Jandy/Jandy_Legacy_Pool_Heater.pdf

You need to open the unit and check the connections to the Universal Controller Power Interface PCB as shown on Page 42.

Are their any connections on the Terminals marked Coil/Air Temp and Fan/Louvre?

Are these connections secure and free from damage and corrosion?

Yesterday my water sensor read shorted. I switched the air and water leads, then water seemed ok but air was shorted. I tried all other open spots to no avail. Sometimes water open appeared.

Buy your self two new sensors, they are both the same. If your system if reading sensor open when disconnected from the board then your new sensors should do the trick.

Jandy water sensor shorted

This is a common problem with the PowerCenter. If you disconnect the sensor and system still thinks it is shorted the board could use a trip to www.fixyourboard.com. It can be repaired quickly and reliably at a fraction of a new part price.

Jandy aqualin rs air temp malfunction

Check this by swapping your air sensor with your water sensor. (Just swap the plugs) if it still reads off then you may need a new board, if this reads ok then the new sensor may be bad. Good luck.
