I f ya know the default or the present ip of AP then ya can assign a static ip of the same range to yor computer like eg. ap is 192.168 .1.1 then your comp can have 192.168.1.10 and ya can log into it thru the ethernet cable and disable the security. i hope ya know how to assign a staic ip add to yor compuetr. or check the screen shots on brivers.com n select the "network connections" screen shots to assign a static ip address to yor' comp. feel free to chat with me on samrat101 thru yahoo or msn messenger or drop a mail on [email protected] for ny wless n ipphone issues -- take care ,, samrat

Sounds like firmware corrupted. The firmware might be updated. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

I erased some things i didn't think i would need from the mp3 player (photo folder, etc.) and now when it turns on it just says "Load main image failed, switch to recovery mode"

STEP 1: Soft Reset

Simply press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. The soft reset would refresh the player. After doing the soft reset, try to turn on the player once more. If this didn't resolve your issue continue to step 2.

STEP 2: Firmware Update

Firmware controls the functions of your device (how your device operates). In cases where the product does not perform as intended, the update fixes the issue by replacing the current firmware with the latest enhanced version.

Please be reminded that for your player to work properly you need to meet the requirements below.

- Windows XP SP2 or higher
- Windows Media Player 10 or 11

There are three versions of the Sansa e200 - Version 1, Version 2, and Rhapsody. This can be found by going over to "Settings" if you found "format" then you have a "v2" or look at the back of your player and check the exact model number under the "CE" logo it should say "model:e200" for Version 1; "model:e200 V2" for Version 2; and "model:e200R" for Rhapsody Version. Make sure that you choose the correct firmware version for your device as updating it using the wrong firmware version may render your device useless.

Wireless continually goes off and on (I mean connects and disconnects). The signal is strong, but the laptop keeps disconnecting.

The cause could be any of the following:
  • Interference. Many other wireless devices operate near the same frequency. In the US, there are 11 different channels. Try selecting a different channel and see if that helps.
  • Your wireless adapter driver maybe out dated. Check to see if there is an update.
  • Either the wireless adapter or the wireless router / access point is defective. USB or PCMCIA wireless adapters are inexpensive and easy to install as a test. I have had good luck with the Trendnet USB adapters. For the router / access point, are there any other users who can connect without continuously being dropped?
  • Router / access point firmware maybe out of date, look for an update.

Does not turn any equipment on or off. has power but does not communicate at all. I have rebooted, etc. but no luck. Old remotes still work. It appears that IR is dead.

If you have confirmed that the remote's IR emitters have failed and you are out of the warranty period (1 yr), you have a few choices. You can contact Logitech. They will usually issue a 50% discount on a new remote. Or, you can try to repair the remote yourself using the guidance in this article: http://hubpages.com/hub/HowToFixaLogitechHarmony880Remote

Or, you can have it repaired for $14 (or less if you haggle) from this Ebay seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/We-can-Repair-your-Harmony-880-Remote_W0QQitemZ200437939363QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2eab083ca3

Good luck!

My colour printouts from new Samsung CLP-310 do not match original WORD 2000 docs colours (or compared to HP deskjet. Is there a MS patch for this?

Hello,

There is an update for your printer. This is a firmware update. A firmware update, rewrites code located on the printer's main system board. The latest update is dated 10/17/08.

Flashing firmware does not have a go back element or undo, so it is really important that we verify your model and what seiries of printer you have. I suspect you have a CLP-300 Series printer and that the 310 of the 300 just describes some features added or left off and even who you purchased it from, in many cases.

Please look at these two photos and then post the data off the name plate for your model number in particular.

406eb47.jpg ccb435d.jpg

You will notice there are two lines to include in your reply.
1.) The Model: (first line)
2.) M/C entry (second to last entry in this photo of the label.

Once you verify this and I post the firmware update link for you, you will need to follow the instructions I include below.

Regards,
Worldvet
