Start checking audio aoutput settings.

If the system has more than one oudio out, check that audio output is not set on a different value.
More likely you will have to take apart the unit, inspect wiring to audio out RCA connectors, and test them for continuity.
It is rather unlikely that both channels go at the same time, check the earphones audio jack socket on your stereo , if this is bed this will also mute the system.
If it is not a connector/wiring problem, check that the stereo is working ang just not giving output( ensure is powering etc.)
When you have no audio you quickly check the contols, and then pass to amp testing on main pcb, see if you find a faulty component testing onboard with a multimeter.
To test the amp final it is better to follow directions on service manual.
You can buy service manual here and follow diagrams that will give you directions on what components to test when you have no audio.
You will also need a Multimeter.

3-davt5kzawotuvud31pki2rk4-2-2.jpg Please see the photo of the Rear elements of your unit: 1) There are Digital Audio ports, and Analog audio ports It is vital that you are using the correct ports. 2) And you almost MUST have the speakers connected correctly. 3) If you are using the Remote Control make certain the light is on to be certain it is sending the commands to the unit 4) Check your Volume level I hope this helps.

I have a sa-ak320 stereo that was left at my gf's

The 6 ohm speaker would make it slightly louder but won't solve the problem, you are right the stereo has bad audio output ic, and there is trouble with the cd player. I would use it until it goes, and get a brand new unit, not cost effective to repair.

My speaker wont work when i play anytin on internet wit sound i dnt hear a sound from my speakers

1: check the speaker wire. it should connect to a green port at the back of the computer.
2. In control panel open realtek audio device manager. it will tell you where its connected
3. try to configure the speaker from audio device manager on the system tray volume icon
still doesnt work then uninstall the driver for sound card from device manger
restart the computer

When I turn on unit, a message "overload" appears.

Check the speakers and the power supply for any signs of shorting.
This is due to the fact that the safety circuit works to switch off the set preventing a high damage.
So check the output for short or the presection .

No sound listening to music and audio stopped

Tape monitor is it on? Muting? How old is this unit? Does speaker relay click on secoinds after unit powers on? If relay does not click probably output problem. Try disconnecting speaker wires to see if relay will click. If it does click the suspect bad wire or speaker if not bad amp. The first step to diag is to diconnect everything and simplify the citems needed to get sound. 1 Known good signal source and cable, Minimum affects, check speaker switch, Known good wire and 1 speaker to front l or r terminal. iIf still know sound seek serv.

Technics sa-g78 no sound from front speakers

This happens on mine also. My theory is a relay. If you turn the volume up (Waaay up) momentarily, you "burn through" the oxidation on the relay and the sound comes back - for awhile. Some day, I'll get in there and replace it with something more robust.

Would it be possible to attach various speakers/subs.

i suggest that you can connect a subwoofer through a Pionner's like power amp and adjust it only with lowpass filter... you need a battery and a charger. and that's it.
