Since you did not specify the operating system of your computer, I assumed that you are using Windows. Slow printing can happen for a lot of reasons, please try to use the Host-Based or Post Script print driver (not universal). You may download this from support.lexmark.com

Power the printer OFF and ON. Send the same file to the printer, if file has not been released from the print queue then delete all pending print jobs out of print queue.
Disconnect all data cables and power the printer OFF and ON. If the printer returns to READY, Reconnect the data cable and try printing again. If you are getting a paper jam error, please take not the error code and locate the jam. For further assistance, please contact Lexmark Technical Support.
