I started the washing machine and realized I needed to add two items. I paused the cycle so the lid would unlock. I added my two items and hit the start button. Now the lid lock and sensor button remain on, but the cycle will not start.

the lock function was added to elimimiate the danger of someone sticking there body parts inside machine (they can kill a human or pet) while its operating this is a safety function and really should not be bypassed unless in very special uses , this function used to be done by a lid switch that shut power off to machine , the lid lock now is easy to disengage just press the stop button in as soon as machine stops moving the the lid should unlock allowing you to open it to Add/remove items , I do warn folks that if any items are added after fill step the auto water level sensor has already made its calculation of needed water so what's in there after more clothes are added will not have sufficient water level to clean properly resulting in disappointed washing results

- "lid" (Lid Opened)
Is the lid open? Close the lid to clear the display. If the lid remains open for more than 10

- "HC" (Cold and Hot hoses switched)
This code will appear at the end of the wash cycle to indicate that the cold and hot water
inlet hoses are switched. See "Connect the Inlet Hoses."
- "dL" (Door/Lid cannot lock)

If the green cycle light is flashing on then off, this usually means the cycle is paused. The lid lock should unlock when in pause mode, if not you will need to press and hold the "Pause/Play" button to clear the cycle completely, if there is water in the unit, it will drain first, then unlock the lid and be on standby to start a new cycle. I did as Drunan did and unplug for 10 and plugged it back in and it started like a champ! Thanks!!!!!! ;)

Try unplugging the machine for a few min's and see if it resets.

Liquid Laundry Detergent and Fabric Softeners
When using liquid laundry detergent, you do not want to poor it directly on your laundry. The dyes in the liquid laundry soap could stain your clothing. You will want to start your washing machine and add the liquid laundry soap while the water is filling the washing machine.
You then can add your laundry once you have about and eighth of the washing machine tub filled. This will ensure your laundry doesn't become stained by the detergent. The same reasoning applies to liquid fabric softeners. However, liquid fabric softeners are added to the washing cycle after the initial washing cycle is finished. Powdered Laundry Detergent
You will want to add one cup of loose laundry detergent to your washing machine in the same manner you would do the liquid laundry detergent. By doing this, the powdered laundry detergent will dissolve easier.

When adding bleach to your laundry, there is a small triangular cup in the corner of your washing machine. By adding one cup of bleach into that dispenser, the bleach will be added to the laundry at a precise time during the wash cycle.

You can also use this cycle if you wish to only bleach your white's once a week or once a month with bleach.
Washing Your Laundry
Choose the cycle you need for your laundry. Add the laundry detergent, fabric softener, and bleach (remember regular liquid bleach is for white clothes only.) Start the washing machine and let fill to dissolve the dry detergent or to mix in the liquid detergent.
Now add your clothes to the washing machine. Clothes the lid so the washing machine will continue to wash your clothes.

your mach depending on model and cycle selected has a 3 to 5min "add a garment" feature.that means in the 1st 3-5mins of cycles when add a garment light is lit you may hit pause button once and the mach will stop and unlock door.after add a gament light is off,if u hit pause the cycle the mach will drain water and reset cycle..hope this helps

Options and Modifiers can be changed anytime before HOLD TO
START is selected.
Options and Modifiers can be changed anytime after HOLD TO
START is selected and before the start of the selected Option or

To cancel a cycle and select a new cycle
1. Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice.
2. Select desired cycle.
3. Select the desired OPTIONS.
4. Select HOLD TO START (for approximately 1 second) to
restart the washer at the beginning of the new cycle.
To cancel a cycle
1. Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice.
2. The washer powers down, the door unlocks, and clothes can
be removed.
NOTE: If the water level or the temperature is too high, the
washer will drain automatically before the door unlocks.
To change Options or Modifiers after the cycle has started
1. Select PAUSE/CANCEL.
2. Select the desired OPTIONS or MODIFIERS.
3. Select HOLD TO START (for approximately 1 second) to
continue the cycle.
To drain the washer manually
1. Select PAUSE/CANCEL.
2. Select DRAIN/SPIN.
