Pool pump wiring
O.K. MONIKA READ VERY CAREFULLY!!!!
I DON'T REALLY LIKE TO GIVE 220 VOLT WIRING OVER THE INTERNET,LET ALONE THE PHONE,but I have a good feeling that if you all replaced the seal, you have an understanding of what you are dealing with: 1st make sure all power is disconnected,Breakers too(hey I have to say this so don't take it to heart), now the two black wires are 115 volts each, and the white one is ground, now enough said, the wires going from the source, (pool house, pump room), should be one white, one red, and one green, if this is the case the black and white wires, are the ones to hook up your black wires to, it does not matter (which of your black wires) go to either the red one or black coming from the source, and if your white on the motor is your ground it should goe to the green one coming from your source, if you don't already have them,I SUGGEST, you go to home depot,or lowe's and purchase the BLUE "water tight" wire caps, they can and are a "life saver anytime electrical is used around water, they cost some, but isn't a life worth a buck or two more? remember 115 volts can kill you if your around water 220-248volts will really kill you, so please check and double check all that I have told you. make sure everyone is clear,(pet's too), and flip the breaker, and you should be in business, god bless, happy 4th, and please let me know if I can help more
