6-blink error = "low B OCP/OVP (overcurrent/overvoltage)". It means that the +5v line on the A or B board is shorted or overloaded.
You need to open the tv and test the components powered by that line to find the faulty one. While you are there check the different B+ lines for over-voltage, due to defective regulation chips - which can cause the High Voltage to be too high.
Most likely yes: the 5v line powers the processor and the power surge created by a lightning has fried it. The replacement cost for all the damaged boards will be more than what the tv is worth.
I am having the same problem, how ever my TV just went out nothing caused it, Best Buy said they would come out for $150 plus the cost of the parts, how much should I expect to pay for the A board or the other board
