Backup Lamps
The backup lamp request signal is sent from the PCM to the BCM on the GMLAN serial data system. This signal is based on the park neutral position (PNP) switch signal. The BCM supplies voltage to the backup relay and to the automatic day/night mirror when the vehicle is in reverse. The backup relay supplies a voltage on the backup lamp supply voltage circuit to the backup lamps and trailer backup circuit.

Maybe the back up lamps relay is stuck closed sending battery voltage to the lights all the time . The factory repair manual said this back up lamp relay is in the under hood fuse / relay box. It also states the relay is a PCB - printed circuit board relay , soldered directly on the circuit board inside the fuse / relay center .

Only identical model will have same model parts and control board
If you like keep your old BM you have to find exact model

Carry that piece to the retailer, he might be able to identify.

Found this in the Suzuki VZ800K5 Manual.\:

Chapter 9-20
"The fuel cut-off circuit is incorporated in this ECM in order to prevent over-running of engine. When engine
speed reaches 8000 r/min during running, this circuit cuts off fuel at the fuel injector."

Found this in the Suzuki VZ800K4 Manual ... The 04 does NOT have FI but this performs as I said above..

Chapter 8-16
"The fuel cut-off circuit is incorporated in this ignitor in order to prevent over-running of engine. When engine
speed reaches 8000 r/min during running, this circuit cuts off primary circuit for all spark plugs."

Remove the upper control board panel. Use a small screw driver, open the freezer door, under the control panel you will see a slot on each side. Put the screw driver in the slot and push up. That side of the panel will pull out. Do the same on the other side. Turn the control panel over and unplug the circuit board and wait 15 seconds. Plug the board back in and give that a try. If that does not work replace the upper board. To order a board you will need Model, Serial and product # found on the inside of the fridge.

If you have the yellow epoxy filled circuit board from around 1993-1996 rather than the green newer one you can see the circuits on (take the black cover at back of fridge off to check) it is most likely just a bad circuit board. Otherwise it is most likely low voltage or a bad ground on the 12volt power coming into the fridge. Also make sure your thermostat(if available) is on maximum during testing.

I've replaced mine twice.  water pools under the board and shorts it out.  I raised the mounting points this time around.  I found the board at Appliance Parts 866-312-3498

HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SAME MAYTAG MODEL DISHWASHER. THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE CONTROL PANEL ASSEMBLY HAVING ONBOARD COMPONENTS NOT SODERED CORRECTLY TO THE MAIN CONTROL BOARD. THESE LOOSE OR COLD SOLDER CONNECTIONS HAVE TO BE REHEATED,RESOLDERED WITH A SOLDERING IRON . TO MAKE THE REPAIR, TURN OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER TO THE DISHWASHER, OPEN THE FRONT DOOR AND REMOVE THE 10 SCREWS THAT HOLD THE DOOR TOGETHER. THIS WILL ALLOW ACCESS THE THE CONTROL PANEL.. A SERVICE SHEET IS LOCATED, ATTACHED TO THE INSIDE OF THIS PANEL.IT HAS GOOD TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION INCLUDING A AUTOMATIC FUNCTION TEST.THIS TEST PROVIDES A DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS THAT WAS EXTREMELY HELPING FOR ME TO DETERMINE MY PROBLEM AND CORRECT THE MALFUNCTION CONSIDERING I AM NOT A APPLIANCE REPAIRMAN.
