Jotvguy just wondering, is there definitely power in these outlets ? Have you tried a lamp or something else to prove you have power at the wall outlet?
yes everything else works in the sockets all around the house
Very strange, perhaps a lightning strike nearby but to have so many tv's all fail at once, I would think this beyond just the tv's failing, do lights flicker or get dim then bright in your house. The neutral leg of your house wiring could be loose or corroded causing power surges specifcally to your house. May I also suggest, if you've never heard of a tv 's name before you see it in a store, don't buy it. Buy a respected name that you have actually heard of before.
Good luck deborah! If you know the electrician who rewired, could you inquire with him/her to have them check the neutral leg of the incoming line. TV's are especially susceptable to current surges. To have so many fail at once is certaily worth looking into. I'd be worried about an electrical fire if the problem continues. Hope i've been of some help.
