Behind the plastic power button is a tiny metal switch. If just the button is broken, use a tiny plastic tool to push the switch. But if the switch is also broken, I recommend returning the tablet for a refund or replacement if it is still covered by the factory warranty.

Fixing a broken power switch is delicate work and may cost more than the value of the tablet.

Good day. I''m afraid you might have accidentally got the Operating System of your Samsung Tab corrupted. Im referring to your firmware. Usually if the firmware upgrade failed you need to retry it until it be successful. If you restart it or discontinue the process it will cause your Samsung Tab to be corrupted resulting into failure of the boot up process. You might need to contact samsung tech support for this or bring your equipment to the nearest center. They might need to check the software install and usually their software specialist will fix it for you. Sorry for what happen with your tab but i know the samsung repair center can fix it for you. The best solution I can offer is to install the latest version of Kies;

Then once installed connect the tablet and wait for the drivers to install. If they do not go to the top left hand Kies menu press it and a drop down menu appears saying reinstall drivers; select that to reinstall the drivers.
