Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Here is an extract of my guidance notes on checking filter and motor. Try the last paragraph in particular-
POWER OFF FIRST
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C

My Zanussi WJD 1257 washer/dryer's drying cycle has started finishing early. No error codes. The wash cycle works fine but the drying cycle is simply stopping prematurely. You can set it to dry for 45...

Good Day,
Your washing machine is fully automatic?
the washing cycle is normal?
if yes do the same maybe it will help you.
for the fully automatic washing machine mostly have drain pump, please check the filter of your drain pump, how? remove the cup of your drain pump like a ordinary cup, screw it clock wise or counter clock wise.
Remove drain pump filter and clean it, some hair pins, cotton buds or coins or any small item that coz of clog up.
if your washing machine dont have drain pump ,but fully automatic check the drain motor if running or not? how? open the back cover for top loader washing machine only, select spin cycle and press start to see the drain motor running? the drain motor is like a small box with small wire to pull the lever of the drain to remove water inside, if the motor running or pull the lever of the water pipe but water still inside the washing machine, remove the drain cup or cover and clean it or check if have coin or cloth inside that coz of clog or water stuck,
if the drain pump or drain motor is weak this is will cause and long time draining or totally not running the drain pump or drain motor and its cause of totally stop the cycle of washing machine in rinse time or spin time, because all fully automatic washing machine, after washing cycle the drain pump or drain motor must be on, to remove water before start the next cycle. rinse or spin cycle.

Nd error Washer will not drain. Had this problem before and removed coins from the pump all worked well. Now however there is nothing lodged in the pump and it will not drain.

get something to catch water in, then disconnect the outlet pipe and hold it as low as possible to the floor if water drains out, the pipe should be clear of any blockages. if it is re,connect the pipe...next turn the washer on and put it on empty cycle if you can hear the pump motor running and ,still does not empty the pump is probably damaged,if it is you will have yo have it checked out by the repair man

Getting an OE error code on WM2016CW washer. Have checked the hose for bends and emptied the drain filter? Still getting error message?

OE error is because the machine is slow to empty..Check and see if the machine is draining slowly or not at all..Sometimes coins get caught in the impeller itself...The type of pumps used on LG machines can fail because of muck and detritus getting behind the impeller back plate..Dismantle pump. Mark pump and body to help with re-assembly. If impeller comes out of motor body, you'll have to feplace the pump motor..Universal pump motors are generally ok.. Gravity drain to empty machine.. Good luck....Nomess

Machine will run through entire cycle and will not spin. It quits at the spin cycle. I checked the Black boot at the bottom. Removed and cleared out coins. Checked pump- it was turning freely. Reinstalled...

I had a similar problem and found out the "latch" on the washer door broke off. The machine won't run in spin cycle if the door is"open", but it would run through the wash cycle.

Kenmore Elite washer HE4t keeps giving us a F02 error code??

Check the drain line for kinks or obstructions. The pump should also be checked. Remove the hoses from the pump and using a flashlight, look into the suction port on the pump. Make sure there are no obstructions (like the occasional stray sock). Also check the pump impellers and make sure no blades are missing/broken and that the pump impeller spins freely. If any blades are missing/broken or if you cannot get the impeller to spin freely, the pump is defective. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

My Asko 6461 washing machine - F3 code

F3 problem, I had the issue on model W6461, however, judging by the amount of F3 issues posted this could work on other ASKO models If the coin trap in the drain is clear of debris, try this. Stages as follows:
1) Open drain pump door (bottom left of machine).
2) Remove black pipe and drain residual water.
3) Unscrew coin trap and remove, use a container to hold the water.
4) Leave the container underneath and make sure you have some towels ready (I didn't at the time)
5) Where the washing machine drain hose connects to the outlet in the wall or U bend connector remove this and expose the end.
6) Blow into the drain hose as hard as possible......hopefully the blockage will clear back through the coin trap.
7) Pour some water into the open end and blow this back through the drain as well.

Result:
A large lump of sludge, three of my 5 year olds small counter coins and about a litre of water (all over the floor, don't forget the towels!)

Just ran the machine now and fault cleared.

Good luck

Washing machine keeps stopping mid cycle

If you found coins and such in the drain filter then there is a possiblility that the impeller in the drain pump motor was damaged and you are not getting good water flow thru it. The machine will error out and stop mid cycle if it detects it has not drained in a set amount of time. OE indicated a drain error. I suspect you need to have the drain pump motor assembly replaced.

Whirlpool duet front loading washer purchased in 2004, beeps and displays F9 code during whitest white cycle or heavyduty cycle when washing towels, this provokes unusual delays, frustration and ineff

Boyz, your machine is draining too slowly. When it initiates a drain cycle, the water level switch is sensing the water level is still too high after 60 seconds so the computer stops and generates this fault code. Here are the things to check; * Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or inked. * Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU) * Check/Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects * Check for Drain Pump Failure * Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off * Check the Pressure switch for proper operation
