More than likely, you need to replace the lamp. Check in your manual for power lamp flashing troubleshooting. It will flash 3, 4, or 5 times then pause and repeat. You can find lamps online, check EBAY. Hope this helps

Spetroniq 42"lcd screens black no picture no

Sounds like maybe power supply, but I would check with flashlight 2 in from screen when the green light comes on to see if you have a picture, if so then you have a bad inverter board, if not then power supply problems. You can look for bad or bulged caps in PS

Tv is on, after a few minutes it goes black and there is no sound. The indicator lamp is still green and stays solid the entire time. Without turning the TV off, in about a minute, you hear a small buzzing...

Someone else gave me the tip as I had the EXACT problem, but no buzzing. Unscrew the panel on the front bottom of the tv. Once that is off, there is another screw that opens a little panel. Unscrew the single screw with an allen wrench and pop out the bulb and casing. Mine was full of dust etc. Used an LCD cloth, but compressed air would do the same thing, put it back together and it works great!

Picture goes blank after a few seconds of turning on power

check if the back lamps are still on when you lose image, all you have to do is get close to the screen and make is totally black and if is not that means you have a back light working, but if the back light is gone you may have a defective panel.

talked to samsung TA about the same problem I had and the recommend to replace the power supply first to confirm a defective panel because a panel is quite expensive

TV Picture Goes Black

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
Thanks to those who posted the solutions
