Here is the manual for the Gaggia Titanium. The page talks about ventilate. but references a button to press that you may have to look back a few pages to find a diagram showing which button it is

I have just had the same thing this morning with my machine (not used & ventilate message). I followed the instructions & found the same as you, then I realised I had not turned the knob to dispense the water!! Try this, it does take a while for it to go through the ventilate process, I had to refill the watertank. Good luck

You need to push the hot water button on the machines panel to allow water to run out of the steam wand. After a few seconds the machines ventilate message should clear.

Open the knob to vent after you press the button to switch from steam to hot water dispense.

Try this, after opening hot water valve, push the knob in when it asks for ventilate. If that works then contact your nearest gaggia distrubutor and ask for a new stainless steel steam valve assembly.

It´s probably the flow meter in the machine you have to replace, it´s like a water counter, if it not reach the right value then it not reset the ventilate sign.

Make sure to descale your machine regularly, the calcium is a very big problem for the machine.

If you open the steam knob, can you get out any water?

Try first to continue filling up the water resovoir (UP TO FOUR times) to see if the machine completes the rinse cycle on its own. If that doesn't work contact Gaggia Customer Service in the US at 888-389-4123. Sally there was VERY helpful and should be able to resolve your problem.
