as my experience, the most possible reason should be the color wheel or its photo sensor board.

firstly try to clean its photo sensor board, or have to replace a new wheel.

Im going to guess that you have crackling and hissing noises, as well as the infamous "click" then nothing when you try to start the tv. This is caused by circuit failure on the main board, which powers up the main inverter to charge the screen. ( a high voltage thing that makes the picture come on) when the board cannot provide a high enough starting voltage, the symptoms you described start happening. It is not an easy fix, and will probably set you back a couple hundred dollars or so to fix. I hope the best for you

You may have to blow out the dust (if any) inside the set (a common reason). Or if the picture scrambles up any before going out you may need to replace the color wheel. And it is possible the fan could be breaking down or slowing down and causing overheating which will make the thermal switch to cut the set off.

If you do not hear the color wheel start to spin inside of light engine this may have failed also check to make sure fans are working and safety switch is making contact

I have a Samsung HLP5474WX/XAA. The ballast was replace 2 months ago. I just installed the lamp, i notice green flashing occur on the LAMP when i turn it on. The tv takes 10 to 15 second to turn on the picture, the sound as soon as i power up i can hear it. Any advice??
