Need a manaul for a ultima wd865 - Washing Machines

Remove the rear panel of washer, and tilt washer forward away from you with someone to hold it steady.
Fit the belt round the motor pulley first and slowly feed it round the drum pulley turning the drum pulley at the same time,
It will be very tight, so watch your fingers.
It may seem to be too small, but persist with it, and it will go on.

hi, i turned on my wd865 machine and it starts fine and sounds the same but its displayinf f 18. but it doesnt continue the wash in the usual way . what does f18 mean ? please help :)

PUMP IS BLOCKED OR PIPE LEADING TO IT ROMOVE FRONT BOTTOM PANEL AND YOU SHOULD SEE A ROUND THING WITH A SCREW IN IT REMOVE SCREW TWIST AND PULL OUT REMOVE DEBRIS AND TRY AGAIN IF THIS DONT WORK LAY MACHINE ON ITS BACK REMOVE PIPE FROM PUMP AND CHECK IT NOT BLOCKED WITH ANYTHING ITS QUITE AN EASY JOB TO DO

f01 is a motor problem. may need a new one but an engineer visit would confirm this.

F05 means that the pressure switch is jammed on full.
You need to check the pump is pumping out o/k, and if there is a filter, check and clean.

unplug the machine for 3 mins and plaug back in if it still happens you might have a problem with the heating element or somthing.hope this helps.

I always start at the plug to make sure it has 220, a dryer will run but no heat with 110. This was a common problem when everyone used fuses instead of breakers, just an old habit.

Then I check the heating element and thermostats, this must be done with an OHM meter. More than likely it will one of these.

thermister blown or thermal fuse which is a black plug in the top of the dryer box or yellow sleeved wire, if it was noisy maybe the fan has come loose from it's motor. you will need to remove the dryer box on top of the drum to see if the fan is binding. you can push it back to where its not binding and tighten the nut-ANTICLOCKWISE, LEFT HAND THREAD.
usually the machine runs through a check before starting a cycle and will see an f13 and not start even a wash., so you will need to replace the blown parts.

call hotpoint and get cover for a fiver a month. I do cause mine breaks down regularly - only 2 years old and had engineer out for this prob amongst many others
